I stopped watching Presidential addresses and News conferences back during the Carter years. What is the guy gonna do--"Folks, I ain't got a clue of what we are doing."? "Folks, we invaded Iraq for the oil and to make my buddies rich"? "Folks, we lied to ya"?

Of course not. Any sitting President is going to do what all of them have done in my memory which is lie almost every time they open their mouths.

So I didn't bother to watch. The recaps say this one was singularly inept. This morning on the news he looked awkward, flustered. I mean, it seems to me that the first qualification of a leader be that he can speak to the people. To assuage their fears (even if he has to feed them a load of bull). From what I am seeing, on onlin discussions, radio talk, he did a really poor job--of course, in fairness to him, it wasn't the first time.

Anybody else had any reaction?

What I am AMAZED by is that in spite of ALL the evidence that suggests the Bush Administration could have possibly pre-empted 9/11, the George Jr. utterly refused to admit that they might have done some things incorrect.

So what does that say about his presidency?

Either they are arrogant, idiots, liars, an amalgam of all of those or...horror-of-horrors...they wanted/allowed the tragedy to occur.

Foks, I don't care what your political persuasion is, we have GOT to get this guy, Cheney, Powell, Rice, Wolfowitz and the rest of this dangerous crew outtah DC!

I didn't look at that fool. I took the opportunity to watch my extended version of "LOTR - The 2 Towers" for the umpteenth time. Love me some Aragorn.
