Has anyone read Eden, Ohio by Shawne Johnson? If so, please share your thoughts.

Also, she uses a very different style of writing in which she drops a lot of verbs and articles. Does anyone know if there is a literary term for this?

Tee; I wish I knew because I noticed the same style of writing in her first book; Getting Our Breath Back. It threw me for awhile and I was ready to toss the book and reach for another; but once I got used to the flow it was a good read. I thought about those characters days after I finished the book. LOL

I can't wait to read Eden.

Bookgirl, it threw me too...a lot! It was a real labor intensive read for me, but it was a good story. I just found myself re-reading alot of stuff and interjecting my own verbs.

I didn't read her first book, but it sounds similar in structure, so you'll probably enjoy this one. Let me know if you read it.

I'm still struggling to get through with this book and haven't dared attempt to pick up her first book. I don't think I've struggled with a book except for my days of reading Shakespeare in High School/College. I can tell there is a good story line, but the style is just different. I was wondering if it had a name as well.
