Happy Holidays everybody!
I think I’m gonna give my dad Walter Mosley’s Little Scarlet. Although he doesn’t read much he was a LA County Sheriff during the ’65 riots so he’ll be able to relate. Plus I think he’ll get a kick out of Mouse.
I’m thinking of giving my son a couple of Solomon Jones’ books and a biography – don’t know who yet.

I want the Zora book- Speak. I've dropped hints likely to be picked up. I just straight out told my book buddy.
I'm giving the Collected Works of Nikki Giovanni. If anyone runs across an good book on AA's & cinema let me know. Also giving subscriptions to Black Issues Book Review. |

I've requested a copy of "Open House" by Patricia J. Williams, a middle-aged black woman who reflects on her extraordinary life through a series of witty essays. I was inspired by the glowing 4-star review "People Magazine" gave this book. |

I am sorry, I really am. I have a bad habit of that. Okay, if I was going to give my son a book or two for Christmas and I just might. I think every black man should read The Manchild In the promise Land and The autobiography of Malcolm X......hands down the two must reads. Then I just can't help but mention Stratch line, I mean, yeah, it's been out a few years but so has The 3 musketeer candy bar and I still get me one of them at least once a week. I don't know what candy has to do with books but hey, you know what I'm talking about.
Again I'm sorry Crystal, what can I do to make it up. Wait a minute, you just mad cause I didn't send that e-mail to you *lol*.....
