Hey,
I hear Jill Scott is coming out with a book of poetry when her new CD drops in August. What do you think about this? Will she cause more people to gain an interest in books of poetry? |

Her book will probably sell many times what most poetry collections sell because she has a large fan base already. About the quality of the poetry--has she written any before?--could make no difference, like when Jewell's fair to middling poetry collection did such awesome numbers a few years ago.
No she will not cause more people to gain an interest in books of poetry. The poetry of your well established poets will continue to bore and disinterest turnoff and mystify the reading public. |
