Hello All,

I have been somewhat cheap when it came to keeping up some of the new technological home products...until now. As a few of you know, I recently got a cell phone for the first time. Yep, hard to believe I know. I still haven't gotten use to having it though. I leave it at home most of the time. I don't like belt clips, so when I do carry the phone, it's in my pocket...where I can't hear it ring or vibrate. One of the only cool thing about having a cell phone, is that my ring tone is Aretha Franklin's Chain of Fools. Also, when I travel, I can call home anytime I like and not get charged long distance by using the hotel phone.

In December, I got my DSL line. I love it, Love It, LOVE IT!!! How I lived without it, I do not know. Well, actually, I do know, I wasn't trying to pay $40 - $60 a month for the priveledge. The plan I have now is for $19.95/month! See, it's in my price range. I've been a downloading fool lately, and boy does it feel good.

Next, I'm in the market for a laptop computer! I never thought that I would even consider owning one before because I love having a desktop. Later this year I still plan on getting another desktop computer, the idea of having a laptop as well is growing in appeal to me. To be able to surf the net in my bedroom, or watch DVDs in a hotel room, or work on my reviews wherever I choose, it all boils down to good things...except that those mugs cost more than a desktop computer!

Can a PDA be far behind? Maybe, maybe not. To carry around so many gadgets, that would have some of the same information on them seems a bit overkill to me. Things would start beeping and buzzing and I would not know whether I was on foot or horseback.

And then as if that wasn't enough, my brother gave me a 10-gal aquarium for Christmas. I use to have 2 aquariums years ago before I got my cats. I love water and I love looking at fishes. It has a calming effect on me. When I love something, I tend to turn the knob all the way to the right. Take the aquariums for instance: I started of with one 10-gal aquariums in late December; and now, at the beginning of February, that one aquarium has turned into 4 aquariums. I have the 10-gal aquarium and a 2.5-gal aquarium in my office. The 10-gal is nice and sits behind my computer chair. It has 10 fishes in it who acts like dogs. When I come into the office, they rush over to greet me, all except the Chinese algae eater. That sucker has been giving me nothing but attitude since I bought him. I don't name my fishes, but him I did. His name is _____ after a person who I passionately detest and insults the very idea of common decency and artistry. But at least with this fish I can flush his ass down the toilet. If only I can do the same with his namesake... *exhale* *eyebrow raised*

The 2.5 aquarium holds a male betta fish, who has a white body with blue fins. Actually, his color is more white people pink. If you see this fish, your first thought would be, "damn dawg you need a tan". He's pretty stupid. He doesn't quite understand the concept of how to eat, mainly that he has to come to the top and get his floating food. Although, from what I read concerning male betta fish, they can thrive in a fishbowl with no heater or water filter; I got mine in an aquarium with filters because I'm not trying to change the water every freaking week in a fish bowl.

I have a 29-gallon aquarium in my bedroom and a 5 gallon one in my living room with a black male betta in it. This one I love. He's real smooth with his stuff. He chews his food. I have never seen a fish CHEW his food before. I feed him last. Actually, I enjoy watching all of the fishes eat. It relaxes me.

That's what I've been up to lately. Now, I can get back to the books, and boy are there some new books out that's looking good to ME! I can not wait to get to them. *smile*
