Hello Everyone,

We're starting 2003 off with a bang. Our on-line chat is back. Our first chat is next Sunday, January 12, 2003 at 6 PM EST! And the book is The Wake of The Wind by J. California Cooper, one of my favorite authors of all time. The chat will be in our new chat room. I hope you all will attend. *smile*

Hey Thumper,

I just found an author to add to my list of favorites. I just finished The Wake of the Wind and LOVED it! This was the first time I've read anything by J. California Cooper (although just about all of her books are on my to read list) and this woman can tell a story that evokes a full range of emotions. My favorite genre is historical fiction, so you can understand why she did it for me. Are all of her books historical fiction? I look forward to the chat on the 12th of January.

Hello Yvette,

I'm so glad you loved it! I would say that all of the Cooper books I've read, the story has always taken place in the past, but I wouldn't label them as historical fiction. If you liked The Wake of the Wind, try reading Cooper's novel, Family!

Hey hey! I'm going to try to slip this one in by Sunday though I'm pushing it! I read Family last year and really enjoyed it. She was on the Book Club Cruise in 2001 and it was wonderful watching her and listening to her. She's a natural storyteller.

Thumper, will Ms. Cooper be at the chat? Also, can you provide the chat link info as well? TIA.

-Tee
