Hello All,
I just finished a small, concentrated novel titled A Feast of Peonies by Obi. This book is a AWESOME!! Although I have a couple of issues with it, it is one hell of a ride. The book is about a man name Ashanti Ra who wakes up in a strange bed after a night of drinking, lying next to a woman he don't know. The woman name is Phyllis and Phyllis is a man. From there the book is one incredible episode after another. There's a murder, childhood trauma, bisexuality, and sex scenes that caused me to pace the room as I was reading it. In the hands of a good editor, A Feast of Peonies could be a little tighter. I do know that I need to keep an eye on Obi, he's an author to watch for. |

Thanks for the book suggestion. It sounds like a great read so I just added it to my shopping cart on Amazon. I adore authors that take risks with their writing and step outside the boundaries set by most publishing houses. This sounds like one of those books so I am looking forward to reading it.
