The following release was something forward to all of my book club members. It piqued my curiosity. But why am I suspicious about whether it will deliver what it promises. Maybe I'll check it out.

“What White Women Won’t Tell Us” is the most powerful and revealing book about the elite circle of White Supremacy that has ever been revealed. No other author before Shemia Miller has identified the White Woman as the prime contributor to Global Oppression. This has the White population in an outrage.

The book has just been released May 15th, 2004 and as already received orders internationally. Both Black and White women have been compelled to purchase the book to discuss their findings with the author.

Black Women who have previewed the book claim that this book is so interesting and intriguing they cannot put it down. It is such an easy read that the reader can finish it within days.

“What White Women Won’t Tell Us” is NOT another race card book. It is a book that unlocks economic, social and mental secrets that empower oppressed women all over the planet earth. Shemia Miller points out, “All the time we’ve blamed white men, and institutions, but where do these men come from? Where are the institutions coming from- they have a mother. They have an original place. I suggest we look at the mental womb and the physical womb of White women so that we can gain a better understanding.”

If your local Barnes and Nobles is sold out or you would like to pre-order, simply give them the title of the book and the ISBN number : 1-4010-8985-2

Cynique, I have the book. Personally, I didn't like it. It was mainly an advertisement for Islam.

But what I find interesting is that for the last two centuries we have witnessed a Black Equality movement that mainly focused on Freeing the BLACK MAN...a movement inwhich Black women were the backbone, heart and soul of but as Walker wrote: "the revolution never seems to come for the black woman herself."

Now all of a sudden in 2003, it's changing. There is actually a revolution starting amongst younger black women...a revolution that is all about Black women themselves. Have people really paid good attention to the anger and the lyrics on these CD's from India Arie, Jill Scott, especially Lauryn Hill, Erykuh Badu and recently--even Foxy Brown gett'n political for what she called "The black woman's awakening".

Have you noticed the pure rage against..."enemies of the black woman"...in literature lately? I'm talking about the "literary" fiction by Z.Z. Packer (whew!), Sista Soulja, Kola Boof, Getting Mother's Body and others?

Black women filmmakers have suddenly become a lot edgier than the men. Many of the men have become mainstream and disinterested in reality (as far as I'm concerned). But at AA film festivals, increasingly, there is a great humming buzz about the flicks that black chicks make.

This book by Shemia adds to this new vibe of black women expressing anger against those who lie on them, render them invisible and oppress them.

There is a growing fierceness among younger black women. They are straight pissed off and they got something going on in mind that they aren't sharing with black men for the first time. There is a definite conciousness among younger black women that will certainly impact the babies they have.

That is the only good thing I see on the horizon for black folks (the black woman's embracing her true identity and place in the world)...as Shemia pointed out in the book.

Come on Snake (Chick, Girl, Heffa, Honey, Poisonous, Woman...Hell!...River Cannon(?)).

You are joking, right? "Foxy Brown"? What is superhoochie "Foxy Brown" of all people fighting for...more gem-studded g-strings, faux Korean Hair and press-on nails to wear?

Hill, Badu & Scott are mildly talented artists. But they are hardly revolutionaries. And although Packer, Soulja and Boof can whip up a lot of hot air, be4 we anoint these "joannie-come-lately" as the next-big-thing, let's wait awhile and see what's left after all their wind dissipates and the dust settles.

And so what the sistahs are "mad-as-hell and not gonna take it anymore" (And what generation of men have not heard that be4?)? What are you going to do, abandon all males, commandeer the Hawaiian islands, turn them into modern day versions of the Isles of Sappho and live out your days in sweet lesbian bliss?

Wow ABM. You really showed an enormous amount of insecurity in that post.

First up, after listening to Foxy Brown's last CD "Broken Silence"--I don't know how anybody could say that she's merely a "superhoochie"...like in the teenage days of her music (when MEN wrote most of her stuff). She was say'n a lot on that Cd.

Don't forget that Huey Newton, Tupac, Kweisi Mfume and even Dr. King could all be classified as SuperHoochies as well. But that didn't stop them from being on point.

Lauryn Hill is a genius--bar none. Badu and Scott are far above being "mildly" anything. You ain't got ears, BRO.

And who said anything about Black women turning against MEN....what I said, specifically, is that younger black women (unlike us older broads) feel far less identification w/black men and are for the first time in history forming a movement that doesn't need black men in any capacity whatsoever.

In other words...the loyalty is dead. And I see black men's importance and approval being replaced big time...and yeah...some women are loving that LESBIAN bliss you mentioned. Not me, per se, but I certainly do envy lesbians.

Incidentally, I notice that Packer, Soulja and Boof are all rather Pro-Black women writers (Soulja and Boof are even happily hooked up with strong black men--Boof has two babies with hers, I guess she's a babymama hoochie, too) and their anger is not directed as much at black males as it seems to be directed at the disintegration of the black "community" and the African aesthetic.

It's hard to explain, but their hot air, as you called it (in your typical...man dismisses the intelligence of women and their ideas and opinions way)...their hot air, is really hitting home with these masses of faceless, nameless black women who will be producing the next generation. Girls who don't typically come to aalbc.com and write posts about how much they're ROFL...yuck,yuck,yuck. Far more of these women out here today are relating to the messages of other women rather than the insincere b.s. that black men have been peddling for so long.

You made your sexist cuts at my post. And here's my cheek, daddy....cause I didn't appreciate how you dumbed down all the brilliant women I mentioned in my post. They may not mean nothing to you, but they mean a lot to the millions of women who can relate to them and take their message to heart. If Lauryn Hill is not a revolutionary with a strong message...then I don't know what MAN ever was.

I notice that so many of the black folk posting here seem like they living on Brady Bunch and Cosby Show. So much of what they read is just escapist fluff.

And a lot of posters seem to be OUT OF TOUCH with the black masses and what's really going on in the conversation of late.

There is a definite New Black woman emerging who is totally disconnected from the Black man and with a totally different path.

She the one that can have babies n raise them.

Uh, yeah. And so does the person she's talking too.

The "KB" Flags:

1. The long winded, confrontational prose.
2. Anyone who even casually references "KB" like she's an actual reputable author, claims to have met her, claims to know someone who's met her, or claims to have even seen a KB book (or, lately, movies).

Gee, Anonymous. You ain't read too many of my posts, now have you, darl'n?

And since I got more maturity than you think, just please answer me this. Why are you changing the topic of this thread by injecting all that nonsense?

This thread is about Shemia's New Book. Me and ABM responded to Cynique. If I was Queen Boof, why would you even want to know?

On second thought, baby lamb, don't answer. I would rather stick to the issues of this post, darl'n.

Now go sit back on the porch and count the lightn'n bugs.

And I'M the 1 who is insecure?

Jeeezzz!!!

What are you, Snake (Oil Salesman?)? A biracial love child of Gloria Steinem?

Relax, Baby doll. Chill. Brothaman was just funnin' with the lesbian quips. (Although, show me 10 ultra man-hating type females, and I'll show you 2 confirmed lesbians and another 2 - 3 chicks with strong dyke-like possibilities. Ok. I know. Enuff with the lesbian jokes.)

You know. The problem with yu young foks is ya ain't got no purspektif.

Sure Hill, Badu & Scott are talented. But their gifts are grossly exaggerated by the dearth of comparable contemporary performers. If those sisters were coming up during the eras of Gladys Knight, Angela Bofield, Tina Marie, Jennifer Holiday, Phillis Hyman, Anita Baker, Patti LaBelle and of course, the incomparable Aretha Franklin, those lil' girls would have been run out of the music biz. The rotund Franklin can fart out better tunes than Hill can sing any day, even right after Lauren has freshly gotten her natural "hur did".

And where would Hill, Badu and Scott be without superproducers Wyclef Jean, David Ivory and DJ Jazzy Jeff? Still singing into soup spoons in their their mama's kitchens.

Lauren Hill may be an aight singer/writer. But PULEESE. The B.A.P.ish Ms. Hill ain't never thrown a rock thru a dark alley, much less actually sullied or bloodied her delicately manicured fingers in armed protest. Knocking boots with Bob Marley's son don't make you a freedom fighter, honey.

Aw now, come on with the po' "Foxy Brown" was taken advantage of by evil men spiel. Sistah gurl was selling herself out to get into the game just like every1 else. I am, however, strangely, interested in hearing how "Foxy Brown's" music has evolved. Though, I must admit I don't remember hearing much of anything she has done prior. I guess I got 2 caught up with video images of her sweaty pelvis being thrusted into my face and all.

Yeah, Newton, 'Pac, Mfume and King were big ol' 'ho's too. No ifs-ands-buts about that. But at least you can say that all of those brothahs were doing some serious READING/WRITING in between all the "dippin". I have not heretofore be made aware that Ms. "Brown" possessed such...versatility.

Look girl. You can do all of the men-are-scum talk you want. Fact of the matter is this: Yo butt dun come from black men. Whatever is good in you is has just as likely come from a man as it did a woman. So hatin' on brothahs make as about as much sense as hatin' on yourself.

It is easy to blame some1 else for things. All whites are this. All brothahs are that. But the blame game never works because EVERY1 has a sob story to tell, a justification for the crap they deal, whether they be black/white/male/female/old/young. Behind every brotha that double dealt to you probably lies an innocent little boy that was dry f'd a 1,000 times over be4 you ever even met 'em. And he is as likely as pissed off by the hand he was dealt as you are with yours.

I am not as dismissive of this alleged liberation of young black women as I critical of it. There’s a serious lapse in logic in all the damn-the-brothas-2-hell crap. Because, the way I see, I have to ask whom are they freeing yourselves from? So many of the brothahs are already po', locked up, doped out, dying or dead. So how are WE holding you down?

And ok, so you offload the brothahs. Then what do you do? You got to have SOME kind of man to "have babies" with. So who will they be? White? Hispanic? Asian? Hell!...Eskimo? They will help you find your "destiny" better than black men? (HAHAHA!!!)

I too find it interesting that 2 of the women that you use to argue your point, Soulja and Boof, are married to black men. I'll bet you wouldn't catch either of those sistahs dead with anything else.

But ok. Let's entertain this fantastical notion of the complete liberation and ascendancy of black women. What do you think will happen then?

Much of the same game that is being dealt now, only you won't be able to blame your troubles on us testosterone-doped heathens.

Even when all of you mighty black women achieve this mythical place where you are liberated from the burden of us lowly men, you will still have as many problems as you have now. There will still be hateful, conniving and abusive women that you will have to contend with. Ask the teenage girls hazed by other females in North Chicago last week if girls can be as nasty as guys. And a recent study said that nearly 40% of San Francisco lesbian women claim to live in abusive relationships.

People ain't no-damn-good; race/gender/religion be damn.

Should brothas be made to account for our transgressions/failingS. Sure we should and almost always do. Hell, if you look at the unemployment/disease/fatality/incarceration rates of black men, you can say that NO1 pays for their mistakes the way we do. So to thoroughly exact your anger/hostility towards brothas you are going to have to take a ticket and stand in a very long line.

But as I have said before: Every black man is 1/2 female. So if we are screwed up, it's because sistah's are too. And to all my sistahs who decry the lack of good men, I say: If you want to have good black men, you should raise good black men.
