Just a little reminder that our on-line discussion for our May CWMYB selection, Grace written by one of my favorite authors of all time, Elizabeth Nunez will be held this Sunday, May 11, 2003 at 6 PM EST time in our monthly chat room. |

Hi Thumper,
I'm in the middle of reading Grace right now. I was really excited about the prospect of joining the chat, until I realized that Sunday is Mother's Day. Since my time zone is four hours earlier than the eastern time zone, I expect to be right in the middle of Mother's Day activities. I'll just post my thoughts about the book to the board. This is my first time reading anything by Nunez; and, so far I am very impressed! |

Yvette...I'm in agreement with you. I thought this was going to be one chat that I could make...but given that Sunday is Mother's Day, and I'm a mother who is actually going home to celebrate Mother's Day with my mom for the first time since I left for college hmm 26 years ago and moved around the country but never (not yet) back to Florida I won't be able to make this chat. Boo Hoo! Sorry for the long-winded, emotional message but Mother's Day is sentimental to me this year since my mom is a double-amputee diabetic and we didn't expect her to make it 6 months ago...who am I kidding we're not sure of how long she will be with us because she's still not out of the woods. So this Mother's Day I will be spending with her and as my grandmother would say 'pinning her flowers while she's alive.'
So to everyone have a fun chat and to all the Mother's on the board enjoy your DAY and don't forget to pamper YOU.

Hello Everyone,
I did not realize that Mother's Day was Sunday. I'm going to be busy with my own Mama. How about we change the date to May 18, 2003 at 6 PM EST? That way we can all celebrate and not miss a good chat. |
