I was mad too.... I always had a "thing" for Bebe Winans. I think it was the way he only partially opens up his eyes when he is singing....
But back to other matters. Is this serious domestic violence? Is there such thing as "serious" domestic violence? Is there some kind of gage? In light of RiRi's injuries, is this truly warranted or is this a chance to jump on a band wagon.

It looks like this happened a few days after the Rihanna incident. Unfortunately, thousands of women are assaulted by their partners (in front of their frightened kids) every day. This report just happens to be about someone in the public eye.
How ever you want to classify it, why do some men think it is okay to push, slap, bite, choke and otherwise assault a woman? Why? |

BTW, I know a couple of guys who have beaten up their girlfriends. When asked why they do it, they usually deny it, minimize it or say what all SHE was doing. Rarely to they take responsibility for their actions. It is always someone else's fault. |

(I used to take smug satisfaction in these stories--but it proves nothing. Gospel musicians are not preachers or moral compasses.
I came up in the world of gospel music. I been to gospel music parties where they were playing and singing the songs and drunk and going off into rooms and all kinds of stuff.
He is just a person.
All domestic violence is serious. It easily escalates into something else--and, as opposed to seriously injuring some stranger, injuring a loved one is much more grievous.
When blows got to be thrown by either side it is time to break up--in the old days it was different. It was to be expected. |
