Ironic she died on Christmas Day.
Her version of "Santa Baby" is second to none, but I liked EK best in "Boomerang." She was a true original. May she rest in peace. |

Eartha was, indeed, in a class by herself but I was never a big fan of hers. From day one she was always stressing that she didn't want to be thought of as black but as an international entertainer. She always distanced herself from her own race and suddenly in the late 70s she kind of re-invented herself and started claiming to be "mixed", although you'd never guess it to look at her. There was nothing caucasian about her little bull dog face. Or was she extremely light-skinned and she had black folks' hair under all those wigs. meooooow.
But, with the sexuality that she caricatured, ol Eartha succeeded in making a name for herself and she did have a unique talent which was rewarded with longevity in the business so I give her her props. May she rest in peace. |

She was good to look at when she was young--started looking like a female impersonator in the latter years.

I actually think that Julie Newmar was the quintessential Catwoman. (That was one SEXYA$S White chick!)
But I would certainly give Ms. Kitt propers over Halle Berry and Michelle Pheifer. |
