Black women are self-exploiters. But when faced with the
fact of their own sexual self-exploitation, their "Hate-Black-Men"
brainwashing kicks in and they start pointing fingers at Black men
instead of themselves.

Therefore, since a picture can be worth a thousand words, I decided
to provide some video that is demonstrative of the self-exploitation
that Black girls/women engage in on an everyday basis. While
you watch the imagery (provided below), here are some things to pay
close attention to:

1) Notice that there are no Black men/boys in sight.

2) Notice that there are no music industry producers, lighting men,
directors, engineers, sound men, makeup people, wardrobe
specialists, famous rappers on "the set," hype specialists
egging them on, or white executives waiting for the certainty
of instant Black poontang at the after party.

3) Notice that the Black women/girls are in TOTAL control--
setting up their own camera, setting the scene, picking
their own skimpy "booty" clothes, and choosing their own
"dance" steps.

4) Notice there's nobody in the video "making it rain" dollars-
Homegurl will gleefully flash-the-ass for free and publish it for
all the world to see: Give a homegurl a camera, leave her
home alone and she will jump in front of the camera and start
wiggling her booty and commence bumpin', pumpin' and grindin'.

5) Notice that the girls/women in the videos are pretty good at
shakin' their asses and bustin' every imaginable sexual move:
must have been doing quite a bit of practicing in front of the mirror!

6) Notice the last sequence where it says: "We're sorry, this
video is no longer available." This is what happens when
a parent or other authority figure steps in and brings the
booty shaker to her senses-- The video gets removed from
YouTube and the booty shaker is left to ponder what the
hell she was thinking about in the first place!

Leave a Black girl at home alone with a video camera and this is what you will get
Leave a Black girl at home alone with a video camera and
this is what you will get. The first sequence shows the girls setting
up their own cameras and scene. The second sequence shows them
doing their "booty dance." Most telling: There is not ONE man in
sight. The last sequence shows what happens when babygurl gets
"busted" by her parents, or guardians, or boyfriend/husband: The
video disappears from YouTube.

Furthermore, The notion that the "exploitation" of Black women on
video/film started with Black music videos is pure bullsh#t!! Black
women were shakin' their asses long before there was a MTV or
BET: check out the vintage videos from the old SOULTRAIN show
and you will see what I mean.

I teach at a school with a Computer Room that has computers
that allow students to see and video record themselves on the
fly. As soon as the girls figure out how to use the software,
the very first thing they do is stand in front of the computer
and start humpin' and pumpin'. And there are no rappers there
to talk them into doing it!! I literally have to set up the computers
so that they are denied access to the recording software to
get the girls to stop shakin' their asses in the Computer Room.

By the way, my school insists that students wear uniforms.
However, during the month of June we give the students a "break"
by dropping the uniform policy: And what do you think the girls do?
They start coming to school without underwear and wearing jeans
without belts--
So that everyone can see the crack of their asses.
And no, there is no rapper in their bedrooms telling them that they
should dress like prostitutes everyday. By the way, I teach at a
middle school: this means homegurls are willfully showing the cracks
of their asses by the 7th and 8th grade!!
(At least the homeboys with
the drooping pants wear underwear!!). One incident this past June
sticks out in my mind: One of the girls was called into the principal's
office to meet her mother who was coming to pick her up early;
the girl stands up with her pants drooping down, literally showing
her entire ass. I lost it for a moment and screamed at her: Pull
your damn pants up!!
She turns around and looks at me with a
grin and a gleam in her eyes that said-- "I like showing my ass. I'm
sexy, and I know it!"

As an aside: Do you ever wonder why Black girls are subjected
to crude cat calls, hissing, and whistling by the thugged out fools
on the corner? Because it works!! Black girls happily respond to this
"disrespect." Think I'm kidding? Try spending an afternoon on any
busy corner deep in the hood (say, Harlem, any corner on 125th
Street)-- You find that a substantial portion of the girls will stop and
talk to the thugs who are shouting sexual innuendoes at them!!
The public "disrespect" of Black women will stop the moment that
the girls stop responding positively to it.

Thanks to video websites like YouTube, Black women/girls have a
well-earned, world wide reputation for being freaks and hos.
And this can't be blamed on Black men or music videos, and it is
not about "exploitation of Black women": As the video clip provided
proves-- These "sistahs" conceived, directed, recorded and posted
their own videos. To quote a caption to a YouTube video posted
(embedded) on a white run web site: "Notice How Its Usually Black
Hos That Shake Their Asses."

It's time to stop the denial and the self-deception. Black women
and girls are as much to blame for their own sexual exploitation as
anyone else. Get real, get honest, and face the truth. Then we can
finally begin to do something about it!!

Indeed.

What you'll probably get in rebut is something akin to the (ridiculously perfunctory) "They're just shaking their a$ses because it's what MEN make or want them to do." Which always amazes me because these very SAME foks will often declare how BW have their own minds and "Ain't no mayne gone tell'em what to do."

The hypocrisy of the day is women can dress and act as hoishly as they want to but woe be unto some (fool) man who treats them like the ho they're (allegedly) pretending to be.

I only have one comment. The above is NOT all young black girls or women. So dont label ALL black girls or women. ALL black woman are NOT as you describe in this statement: Black women are self-exploiters. But when faced with the

This article is a tired ol scenario embracing the popular misconception that black women, themselves, are responsible for all of the woes they want to blame black men for.
Truth be told, Black women have a reputation of telling it like it is, and they diss and talk about each other as much as they do about black men. If a women is a skank or a ho, other black women are the first ones to say this.
If a brother ain't a sorry-assed scrub, then he's got it made. Black women compete for the good black men and are not above putting down their rivals in hopes of making themselves look attractive to a good catch.

Well, not much to say here. There is no denying of the obvious. You have to be honest about this subject as painful as it may be...IMO. If young black women, as a collective group, rebelled and organized against the skanky-hoochie-baby-mama-drama culture and all of it's ugly imagery, these perceptions would be hard to endure. You don't see this imagery attached to Japanese, Jewish, Canadian, Latino, et al, women. Why black women? I personally detest the negativity it but it's not my battle because there is nothing I can do about Negresses who are determined to exploit and degrade themselves. The girls in these videos are not isolated instances. These self-degrading skanks in training can be found in numbers that exceed just a tiny minority. Don't hate....it's true.

"I only have one comment. The above is NOT all young black girls or women. So dont label ALL black girls or women."

Not it's not. But it doesn't matter. It's doesn't have to be "all black women". There just has to be a substantial number that calls attention to a certain behavior. Not all young black men are thugs, gang-bangers, incarcerated in prison and high school drop outs. But there is a large number that are and they have called attention themselves (young black males). There is no denying this. It is a major problem (with no relief in sight), not a small insignificant obscure minority acting out.

"ALL black woman are NOT as you describe in this statement: Black women are self-exploiters."

You are absolutely correct. But it doesn't matter -there are enough to give validity to the statement. It doesn't require a overwhelming majority in order for these kinds of negative PR images to take foot.

"But when faced with the fact of their own sexual self-exploitation, their "Hate-Black-Men" brainwashing kicks in and they start pointing fingers at Black men instead of themselves."

Uhhhhh....OK.

"The hypocrisy of the day is women can dress and act as hoishly as they want to but woe be unto some (fool) man who treats them like the ho they're (allegedly) pretending to be."

True...true......

These young women are doing nothing differently than say a britney spears being pantiless and exiting her car with her legs spread showing her bush.

It's just that a white girl will get labled as a rebel and a bad girl in need of counseling,

and a black girl will immediatley get labled as a ho and a skank.

Look at that tequila chick whose poses were plastered all over the net in bras an panties and did she get labled a ho? No she got rewarded with a TV show and you innocent black brothers probably were the main ones gawking at her and helping her to get there with your tongues hanging out talking about how sexy she looked!

NTFS..I respectfully disagree with your comments. You buy into the hype by saying "it doesnt matter". IT does matter. And there are young women doing this: If young black women, as a collective group, rebelled and organized against the skanky-hoochie-baby-mama-drama culture and all of it's ugly imagery, these perceptions would be hard to endure.

I suggest to you..look around as there are MANY young women who dont fit the the above, that are taking care of business but the media the same who put the negative images in our face will not showcase what they are doing.

The "superheads" are few..

Now that's what I am talking about!!!

Li-Li, Cynique, and A-womon stood tall.

Li-Li, I liked the way you said "IT DOES MATTER". I agree, as I was reading that statement I too thought the writer was shifting the focus. The perceptions are for the most part that of the individual. If others would move around and look around they would SEE that those in the video might be a small minority. And wait, who said "THEY" were actually doing anything wrong? Shackin' a little booty don't make a women a Ho or a Scank. Look, if my lady could shake her ass like that we'd be working with something....and she ain't no Ho...come on now.

Cyn-Cyn said it was a tired ol'scenario embracing the same old misconceptions. SAY IT AGAIN!

A_Women stepped up and said if they were white girl showing their nasty bush they'd be giving a badge or said to be in need of counseling.

Thunper's Women have made me proud to be part of your party!!

I got my eye on those that continue to champion a negative image of our young black queens. I can't help but wonder what they are on???

As we can see, the issue of denial and obscuration among
Black women can be more of a hurdle than the problem at
the center of the discussion.

For this reason the conversation seldom progresses to "Okay,
what can we do about the hoochi-mama syndrome" because
Black women are too busy repeating the same old 'talking points'
like glassy-eyed cult members who are no longer able to think
objectively. Much of this stems from a thinking style pulmugated
by self-centered, ice cold, highly influential hate specialists like
Alice Walker: The idea that all the problems of Black women stem
from men-- especially Black men. Thus we get useless responses
that are more about denial and damage control than about addressing
the problem at hand. These same old recycled responses include:

1) It's not all Black women (So I guess we shouldn't discuss
the problem at all. Moreover, when it comes to criticisms of
Black men, Black women have by and large shown no concern
whatsoever
about over generalizing).

2) You're just falling for the media's propaganda (Nope: YouTube is
not "the media": YouTube doesn't show up on your television set
or newspaper and force you to watch or read a particular narrative
that they choose for you-- you have to go to the site and search
for stuff. Most telling the girls in the YouTube video clips video
taped and posted themselves. Can "the media" be blamed for
this?).

3) White women, like Britney Spears, do the same thing (Oh, then
it must be okay for Black women to act like freaks and hos).

4) White women who do the 'same thing' are not labled hos (Wrong,
Spears, Lohan, and Hilton are all labeled and considered freaks
and hos. In fact, no woman (Black or otherwise) has been blasted
more viciously than Spears-- If Black women weren't so busy
playing the "super victim" they would be able to realize and
admit this).

5) And here's a really strange one that came out of left field:
If Black women don't want you, it's because you are a "scrub"
(In other words, if the hoochi-mama chooses the thug over
regular Black men, then regular Black men must be fu$ked up:
Apparently, according to this thinking, even the hoochi-mama is
"perfect" compared to the good Black man).

If the issue was about Black men (issues like wife abuse, jail, gansta rap,
the downlow, or sex-oriented music videos), Black women would be
advocating all kinds of solutions, attending rallies, writing articles and
books on the issue, and helping to organize conferences and seminars.
There would be no caveats about "it's just a few," but instead a massive
bandwagon about "setting these screwed up Black men straight." But
when it comes to the problems that Black women exhibit, Black women
(and their pandering defenders) want to pretend that problems don't
(or hardly) exist.

Hoochi-Mama and Child
Sexual Self-Exploitation Among Black Women: What is the Hoochi-Mama
mother teaching her boy and girl child? How will her children view the opposite
sex when they come of age? How will the perpetual denials of Black women
impact on this ongoing crisis? And what can we do to address this much
ignored problem?

Perpetuating the myth of the "perfect Black woman" while ignoring the
hoochi-mama syndrome during the past two decades has helped increase
the hoochi-mama syndrome perhaps a thousand fold. Despite numerous
calls (by Black men) that this syndrome be addressed, the head-in-the-sand
denials of Black women has helped to block any serious work on this issue
and has allowed the hoochi-mama syndrome to spread all the way down to
middle school. Recent research suggests that almost half of Black teenage
girls have one kind of veneral disease or another.
If the self deception continues, soon half of all Black preteen girls will have
some sort of veneral disease.

Once and for all: It is not about the Black women who are "taking care
of business"-- It's about the substantial portion who are acting like freaks
and hos and engaging in sexual self-exploitation (often in front of their own
children, usually in front of the entire world). WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO
TO ADDRESS THIS?? DO YOU HAVE ANY "SOLUTIONS" THAT DON'T INVOLVE
PERPETUAL DENIAL OR YET ANOTHER ATTACK ON BLACK MEN??

It's not just about appearances or bad PR for Black women: LIVES ARE AT STAKE!

So far only Abm and Ntfs_encryption seem to get it.

So are you saying "we" don't see it? I mean, are you saying we don't get YOUR opinion. We get it, we see it, we just don't agree with your slanted view. It reaks of something foul. It appears to be rooted in something YOU OWN. We get YOU!

Maybe you are blinded by your our dis-taste for black women...HUH?? Maybe it's because you use so many absolutes that are not facts. Look at your own post. Can you see where you might be representing YOUR OPINIONS as facts.

We get it!!! Do YOU? See, even when you do throw others a bone you quickly dismiss it by a "BUT". You give NO validation to any viewpoints that directly addresses your. Young man, when you stand on your side of the fence, and look in the other yard, it hard for you to see the grass growing under your feet.

Oh buddy, we get you!

In terms of myself:

I provided real life imagery (in the form of video clips
and photographs). Imagery that actually exists in the
real world-- something beyond the mere rhetoric,
anger, and denial that you are offering. Most previous
work on the butt-jigglin' Black woman preferred to
focus on the role of the rapper and music video producer--
arguing that it was they who placed the Black girl/woman
in the Hoochie-Momma role. On the other hand, I
demonstrated that black girls/women are quite capable
of perpetuating the Hoochi-Momma role all on their own
,
thank you.

I also provided real life first-hand experiences that would
be seen by anyone who lives in the real world and works
with youth or interacts in real Black communities.

And the high VD rate among Black teenage girls cannot be
brushed off easily. I wondered about this recent study
myself so I checked: They didn't use paper surveys or
anecdotal evidence to do the study: Teenagers were
tested with cotton swabs and the samples analyzed via
medical labs.

On the other hand (typically, I must admit) you have
nothing to offer but personal attacks. And you failed to
address the main issue in any manner whatsoever:
That is,
what to do about the sexual self-exploitation of Black
woman, i.e., the Hoochi-Mamma syndrome.
Instead, you
provided the usual don't-want-to-deal-with-it response
and then moved into an offensive mode, whining about my
supposed "dis-tate for black women." If you did in fact
"get it," you would have addressed the issue at hand-- you
didn't.

Get back to me when you have something cogent to
offer on the issue at hand. Until you do, you most certainly
don't get it. And based on your tone, you never will.

Nuuon, thank you. You saved me a whole lot of writing! I could not articulated the issues and discredited the emotional race pride denials that only serve to create smoke and mirror illusions of rationalizations and hollow grandstanding any better. As you can see, for some -denial and pretending the obvious dos not exist is preferred. No discussions about this purely voluntarily self degrading behavior (which is as I have stated before -IS NOT EVERY BLACK WOMAN IN AMERICA!) will not be tolerated! Victimization and cries of biased foul play are more acceptable, while consciously rejecting documented everyday wide spread bad behavior that is obvious to the rest of the world.

Oh Puleeze, Nuoon. Stop interpolating what women on this thread have said to suit your own purposes, and stop shifting the focus from the question at hand to the community at large.

My point was that a hoochie mama is a hoochie mama in the eyes of both black men and black women. If we assume that a decent black man wouldn't want a hoochie mama, then what's good for the goose is good for the gander. A decent black woman doesn't want a scrub. That leaves hoochie mamas to hook up with scrubs. Blame is not a factor in this equation because if it was, these 2 types wouldn't gravitate toward each other. This like-begets-like scenario is about what exists among a certain element of the black population.

Most intelligent people have sense enough to not judge an entire group by its worst element.

Yes, the black underclass is in deep trouble. But it's not because its female members are making accusation about the black men they hook up with.

Frankly, not that I dont care but there is such a thing as free will. You cant control people to include the parents who allow said behavior. What will I personally do to addres this? I talk to the young women in my own circle and even that is no guarantee they wont do some form of acting like a ho or engage in sexual self-exploitation because in this society filled with the images that say its "ok" to shake your booty, have sex early and the like, it wont take much for them to obtain the label such as "superhead" or whatever. So what are YOU doing to make a difference Nuuon and Ntfs..? Oh and I didnt say it was false, I said dont lable ALL women..and dont get it twisted..Im not saying that you are saying that is what I said. Just making it clear.

And if you guys think that you can dictate the behavior of a certain type of female, you need to get real. As a_woman implied, "sluts" exist among all races! Nobody forces these females to choose this lifestyle. People are free to act anyway they want. And you can't obscure this fact but trying to minimize the truth in regard to the fact that all black women do not act like this or do they all diss black men! Get over it.

And I'm sick and tired of people saying if white people do it Thait it is okay for black women to do it when that WAS NEVER the point.

The point was and let me make it plain for those who are slow |b{BLACK WOMEN ARE SUPPOSED TO BE OK WHEN THEY ARE EMBLAZONED WITH NEGATIVE LABELS FOR THE EXACT SAME BEHAVIOR THAT WOMEN OF OTHER RACES ENGAGE IN without fear of being labeled something negative}

If you're going to be indignant quit defining behavior that MAY be unacceptable with negative labels that do nothing but PERPETUATE STEREOTYPES and come up with some real solutions that may help in addressing the problem! IF a problem exists.

"What do you call a no-good adult Black male who never takes responsibility or accountability for anything?

Lazy. Shiftless. A lout. Cad. Deadbeat. Dirty Dawg.

What do you call a no-good adult Black female who never takes responsibility or accountability for anything?

A woman, who's the hapless VICTIM of a no-good Black MAN.
"

--- ABM

For the better part of 20 years, it has been very FASHIONABLE to blame EVERY socio-economic ill befalling Black foks on Black MEN.

Great fortunes have been earned via such (e.g., Oprah, Terri McMillan, etc).

Yet as soon as Black men smarten up and start to demand that sistas be more accountable for THEIR end in our COLLECTIVE bvllshyt, yawl (quite predictably) cry foul, scream, b*tch & moan.

And this gotdayam DENIAL issues that MANY BW have is a huge part of what prevent us from progressing. I mean, BW have enormous rates of Out-of-Weedlock childbirths and STD's, yet whenever we discuss problems within the Black community, it's asserted that only a FEW Black women are engaged in dumb and dangerous actives.

OR, again, Black men are almost ALWAYS viewed to be the villain and Black women the victim.

And if it's just "a few" sistas hoing and skanking around, why do, per the CDC, nearly HALF of all African American females between age 14 - 19 have STD's? http://english.pravda.ru/news/science/19-03-2008/104566-STD-0

Puleeze. The mind set on this situation has actually been that a man can engage in any kind of low down behavior he chooses and then put on a suit and tie and go to church on Sunday and still be called "Mister". Whereas all a woman has to do is one trashy thing, and she's branded a tramp!

And who do women get babies and STD diseases from? MEN. Down-Low men, when it comes to AIDS.

Obviously men get called villains because they do not have to suffer the consequences of their promiscuous behavior the way women do. Get it?

LiLi,

The denial I refer to prevails amongst many BW, not just those who've responded here. The hoochification of BW (and, yes, non-Black females as well) is more prevalent than, perhaps, you and other sistas who've chimed in here recognize or are willing to admit.

Well, that's a reality check that can't be refuted nor denied........

Ntfs,

If we were having a discussion about how BM are lagging behind BW in school, WTF benefit would it be anyone for me to wax-on about how there are many BM who are doing well in school. OF COURSE there are plenty of brothas who are doing well. That don't, however, discount how something needs to be done about those of us who are struggling.

And, again, if you've got +70% illegitimacy and 50% of young BW who have STD's, you cannot LOGICALLY attribute the hoochie problem to "just a few" BW.

That don't make sense.

But, as I have said before, the DENIAL issue amongst BW is a HUGE source of the problem. Many BW do NOT want to hold themselves or each other responsible and accountable for the hoish behavior they exhibit.

They'll deny and even LIE so dayam much about the skanky stuff that they and/or their female peers are doing, they start to actually consume and crap out the fruit of their own denying and lying.

So you 2 are experts on hoochies, huh? Have you been out in the street researching the subject??

Puleeze. You just continue parrot the same old patented arguments, resorting to quoting percentages which, when applied to a population of about 20 million black women, break down to a figure that absolves millions of them from the ranks of skanks.

Of course, women are capable of being seductive and this is not to say that what they do as consenting adults is chaste. But, as usual, the double standard applies. A playa or womanizer never suffers the stigma that a free-spirited female does.

Furthermore, not every women who contracts an STD is a hoochie momma. It only takes one sex partners to infect her just as it only takes one-shot to become pregnant when your partner doesn't use protection.

This argument can go on and on and never be resolved as long as some men continue to try and minimize their blame.
