Whats sad is that whenever Black ppl get any kind of economic independence they want to go out of the Black community. Be it dating, marriage to now adopting White children. I look at these "coal Black ppl" and think to myself What Black man would feel comfortable giving his namesake, his bloodline to a White man? But I guess it is the same as these myriads of Black men who marry White women and have biracial children.
I also wonder to myself. Would these Black ppl have adopting a little baby Tyrese, India Arie or Lauren Hill? It is routinely documented that Black ppl who do adopt children seek out light-skin and biracial children to adopt.
I guess this is the "Niggerdom" that Kola was talking about all these years. Black ppl "dying" to be White so bad that we are willing to neglect our own children just to raise theres. |

I guess this is the "Niggerdom" that Kola was talking about all these years. Black ppl "dying" to be White so bad that we are willing to neglect our own children just to raise theres.

Consider the following hypothetical scenario:
You are the adoptive parent of two wonderful little blond and blue eyed kids, Biff and Becky.
They love you and you love them very much.
One evening you are pulled over for driving while black. The white racist cop calls you boy, spreadeagles you, curses you, feels your ass, writes you several bs tickets and lets you go.
As you stumble back to your car, totally de balled, you see a white co worker drive by. His eyes are full of contempt and disgust.
You know this will be all over your job tomorrow.
You come home, rage against honkies and crackers in your heart and you start using these white epithets, and look up and there are llittle Biff and Becky, looking wide eyed at you.
They know what these words mean, and have never thought they'd hear them coming from you.
You start thinking of all you have done for them, adopting them and all, and thinking about them growing up to be the same kind of person and rap them in their cute little mouths and send them to bed for no supper.
Do you think you will have done something good for brotherhood? |

So I am assuming the infant in the photo is White?
ANd the question is, what, do Black parents have the legal right to adopt across racial lines? The answer to that is definitely yes. I have mostly heard of this in cases of foster-adopt, where Black families have been caring for White foster children, then "legalize" the relationship through adoption. I have not heard of it so much with infants. If this infant does, in fact, have two White parents, then my guess is that this adoption is a privately arranged one, perhaps the couple even knows the mother.
Chris, you seem to be answering a community or moral question. I thought your mantra was not to concern yourself with or feel impacted by what other Black folks do...

Actually, there is long-standing anecdotal evidence to this effect, but there is no "official" documentation about skin tone--nor could there be since this kind of information is not kept. More anecdotes: Just thinking about the long list of Black adoptive parents I know, their children run the color gradient from very light to very dark.
Also, the statement "Black people who do adopt" seems to imply that Black people do not adopt in large numbers. We do--and in numbers that are more relative to our population than other groups. (And that is not counting all of the informal arrangements out there.) |

If I have contradicted myself, I quote Walt "The Whiteman" Whitman:

I am answering a personal question. I have personally known black people who entered into relationships with white people to "get back at them"
Not very healthy.
Also I exempt children from any and all condemnations. They have none of them been in the world long enough to be guilty of evil, regardless of race, creed or color.
Nobody is born a devil.
But I forgot. Based on your experience teaching young children, you hate them.

Some questions:
After the wonderful Negro Couple adopts the white kidz
What school will they go to?
If they go to the black school, the black kids are going to beat them up.
If they go to a white school, every time there is a parent meeting and two splibs show up, the poor kids are going to be the object of ridicule.
Blacks adopting white kids are not thinking about the kids at all. Better they grow up in orphanages than people wondering if they were really adopted at all and if they are secretly black.
Yeah. Didn't think about that, did you? Who do they marry when they grow up? |
