Keith Oberman is white liberal on crack.
The problem with him and all of the other talking heads who are hardly able to conceal their partisanship is that they assume these high-minded stances, and intellectualize and deconstruct the dynamics of racism as they apply to this contest. But they do not have their fingers on the pulse of the average American and how these people perceive things.
Last I checked, a tad over half of the people polled agreed with Geraldine Ferraro's statements. These are people who react with their gut, right or wrong. And that's why Obama's people are backing off this question because calling everybody a racist is getting old, as is placing this campaign in the context of a Sunday school picnic.
I notice that Mary Frances Berry, who was once the head of the Civil Rights Commission and was a staunch activist, advised Obama's "nervous nellies" to take a chill pill about this tired ol race-card issue. |

Poor ol chrishayden. He can't come up with any intelligent rebuttals so he has to grasp at straws. He couldn't even get his thoughts together enough to call the Geraldine Ferraro incident "a tempest in a teapot", the same way he classified the Jeremiah Wright episode. watta dumb jerk. |
