As the temperature of the '08 presidential contest rises, once again we see the desperation of the anti-Obama contingent come into full view. Beyond launching their illogical and pathetic fear-mongering attack ad duds, what Clinton, McCain and Huckabee are really scared of is the possibility that "this" guy named Barack might actually represent the "voters" and really "succeed" on behalf of the "people". That would be to the detriment of the entire political establishment across the entire country. Having a president who represents "the people" is the real fear bomb that the Obama naysayers "fear" the most.

I think what Senator Obama should focus on instead of campaign commercials is the trial of Rezko, his buddy from Chicago that starts on Monday. You never know what comes out during an unscripted hearing in front of a judge. Even if Senator Obama's real estate transaction was above board, it will be guilt by association if his name is mentioned more than once.

How are the Chicago newspapers covering this story? Is it a big deal or business as usual?

What a time for a corruption trial.
