RNC warns Obama: We punch harder than Clinton

The Republican National Committee wants Sen. Barack Obama to know that if he thinks he's seen the epitome of opposition research from the Clinton campaign, he's sorely mistaken.

At his press conference this morning in Chicago before heading back out on the campaign trail, Obama said:

''I have to just respond by saying that the Clinton research operation is about as good as anybody's out there. I assure you that having engaged in a contest against them for the last year that they've pulled out all the stops.”

To which RNC spokesman Alex Conant responded thusly:

"With all due respect to the Clinton 'machine', should Barack Obama win the nomination, I'm sure Republicans will have plenty of arguments to level against the Senate's 'most liberal' member."

The "most liberal" member was a jab at Obama based on a recent National Journal story we reported on here in The Swamp in which the Washington-based publication labeled the senator from Illinois the Senate's utmost liberal in 2007 based on his voting record.

Should he become the nominee, Obama may want to look into getting one of those asbestos suits Sen. Hillary Clinton has boasted of having.

Puhleeze! The RNC is just pulling the tooth brush out of its a/ss. Oddly, what the RNC doesn't see is the global appeal of Obama from around the world. The RNC is still stuck in a 1960's time warp.

What global appeal? Puleeze. You really think the rest of the world is waiting with baited breath for Obama to win? The superior Germans, The aloof French, the stodgy English, all pillars of white Western civilization, - the Japanese whose premier once had to apologize for saying America was handicapped by having the the burden its of the black population. Mexico whose president said Mexican immigrants had to take jobs that even Blacks wouldn't take. The Asians in this country have no affinity for blacks and neither do their countries. Africans are even probably snickering about the naivete of Black Americans. These rest of the world hates America and is just waiting for this country to fall on its face - with or without Obama.
