Are you THAT disillusioned?
So you're out of work, rallying with your pale-skinned, more privileged counterparts. You're losing more money (value) than they are, and more than that, you are setting an extremely BAD precedent for black folks in the business.
For the handful of minorities in these guilds, consider the financial support you received in preparation for your soulless careers. If you all strike gg awards, you prevent others like you who got by on a wing and a prayer in the arts industries. the gg awards help to raise the dollars that help to put yo black $ss through film school, to help publish that wack $ss thesis of yours when noone else believed in you enough to back you and your 'ethnic' stories.
You of all people know how viciously this town misappropriates the black image. We need more soldiers in the trenches. Come to your senses, for goodness sake. |

I notice PETA never targets Blacks who wear fur. They know better than to throw animal blood on a black's person's mink. For whatever reasons, PETA kinda let Blacks slide in this particular instance. It would seem that for the reasons cited, black writers should act in their own best interest and if others complain, they should simply shut them up by saying the racist union doesn't adequately represent them.  |
