Oh happy days, we have some new stars. But first, I was driving down the street the other day and I thought I saw someone I knew standing behind one of the brothas selling The Final Call. The dude in the back had a copy of Farrakhan's The God's At War and a large sign draped over his back. I was sure I knew the dude so I stopped my car to get a closer look. The guy turned his back when I approached, but then quickly turned back around and mean-mugged me. IT WAS TROY, the sign read, BUY BOOKS AT AALBC.
Don't you just hate it when someone makes you swear to secrecy before they tell you the secret. See, I don't know how to handle this but I sort of told a person from the board that I wouldn't say a word. Call me a dry snitch or whatever but here it goes. You guys remember when I talked about a lady that asked me if I ever thought about her in a sexual way. Remeber, I was taken by surprise because we had never gone there. ABM said I missed something. He said it was an obvious call to the wild. I think the person that I am trying to protect read that post and ..... well, check this out. The other day I went to my mailbox and there was this little card telling me that I had a package for pickup. I hadn't ordered any books of late so I was curious and hurried down to pick it up. I reached inside the package and was....ah...shocked. There was something wrapped in pink panties, with a note attached. As I pulled them out something fell to the floor. It was A_Womons book!....... I was sworn to secrecy, I can't even tell you what the card said!!!
Where is that woman from the Wiz? You know, that big mean one that got flushed down the stool? Speaking of Sabiana  , did she break up in here or what! That post was so hot it melted right off the board. Where did it go????

Some posts just stick with me. Who said, "Dude, you do have a propensity for hyperbole"? Yep, the kid and Troy were doing their weekly dance. That Ntfs stuck his hand in Troy's pocket and ran off like he hit him with a spit ball. That's out-in-out racism *wink*.
Thumper called me a dirty old man and I told him to go look in the mirror.
Tonya hit the board with a post, "Child Porn". NOBODY touched that one. They didn't want Dateline running up in their house .
H I C K S O N told everyone to feel his heat! Yikes, NOBODY touched that one. I know that one, the old hole-in-the-pocket trick. Can he ask us to do that? I know I ain't trying to feel his heat. I don't want anything to do with his heat. I wonder if his wife knows?
Kitty and Yvette was on the phone asking each other if they were going to go over on Thumper's Corner. Yvette said that she was until she saw Hickson holding his heat. Kitty said, "girl, you are kidding me!" Yvette told her that she was serious. Kitty said, "where is he at!?!?"
The week went by without incident UNTIL.....
In stepped HEN81 and Deciple.
I thought the question (Why Do We Write) would bring out a few but MAN. Them boys was going at it. I saw it coming but couldn't stop the train. I tried to jump between them but they smashed me in the middle. I was doing my best "break it up" thang but they just got closer. I couldn't move, they were spitting on me and everythang. Their breath was stankin' and sweat was poppin'. I got out of there. One of them mentioned Roof Top Diva and Li-LI showed up. She asked if anyone called for a Diva. When they both turned and yelled NO! She gave them the finger and took a chicken leg out of her posket and walked away.
I knew things were getting serious between Hen81 and Deciple when Hen81 rented one of those planes and flew by with a banner listing all his books. It was all Cynique's fault *lol*.
I thought it was over until one of them rolled in a wheel barrel of Dictionaries and Thesauruses.
Then I knew it was for real when Diciple brought in the lost Scrolls. I got out of there. I'd seen Charleton Heston in Moses.
What a week! Troy's selling copies of The Final Call; Yvette tore her dress trying to hold Kitty back from chasing Hickman's heat; Thumper got arrested for indecent exposer; Chris and Cynique got caughtup in a raid at the Hideaway Hotel; A_womon was spotted waving her bra outside Carey's house; Li-Li got stuck on the fire escape trying to get to the roof-top, she thought she heard someone say free food; Hen81 and Deciple are still trying to figure out who's is the biggest *LOL*!
What a week!

If Carey has been writing posts like this one every Sunday while I've been gone and you all let him, I'm good and ticked at all of yawl! Can't yawl see that the ol' Grayhead is off his meds and aint regular!! Yawl ought ought to be ashamed!! And Cynique knows the signs and aint saying nothing. Cynique you need to stop being Lucy from the Peanuts sometimes! Yeah, Carey got that Charlie Brown thang going ... but that don't mean that he is. Carey, dont worry, I'm coming right over with the Metamucil and the prune juice right now! |

LOL, well, we've been spending chunks of the summer traipsing around with our collective four daughters, so hugs and squeezes are few and far between!
BUT...even though we won't have any "grown up" summertime fun, we are looking forward to meeting up with Troy (and hopefully other AALBCers) in Antigua in the fall. Summer vacation in November...Can't wait!!! |

Yes, Cynique. Tho not without some drama and some MAJOR adjustments. Hopefully we will be settled by August 1st, with our stuff to arrive not too long after that. You know, I used to roll my eyes when old folks used to complain about not wanting to move to new locations but I can really really see their point. (That, or I'm now one a dem 'old folks' lol.) |
