This is an interesting article regarding the tricky waters in the publishing industry.

Hi Hen81,

Of course she would get sued to repay an advance on a book she never delivered. Why would a publishing company give money away? I don't think there is anything tricky about this. Ms Gotti backed out of the deal, she should repay the $70,000 advance.

Didn't Joan Collins get into that kind of bind a while ago?

I think the court ruled she could keep the advance.

I think she delivered a book the publisher pronounced not fit for publication.

Didn't the same thing occur with
Puffy as well?

I agree with A_womon, this is a
business, and the business is to
generate profit not give it away.

Everyone has a story and not all
have the abilty to get out or the
desire the time to dictate it. ;o)
