Breaking Free: My Life with Dissociative Identity Disorder by Herschel Walker
http://reviews.aalbc.com/breaking_free.htm

I saw this brother in a teack meet once it was like watching a locomotive coming down the track. I was like: what manner of being could tackle this creature -- let alone catch it. And he might have been like 19 at the time!

Yeah this news came out a few months ago, I commend the brother for writing on the subject and sharing such a complicated issue with the public.

I found Walker's revelations fascinating when I heard about them a while back in the advance publicity about this book. He was so robotic in the interview I saw on TV, like he had rehearsed his explanations and I remember wondering if he had been brain-washed by the enabling psychiatrist who almost seem to be humoring him into rationalizing his agressive behavior. In her interview, Herschel's ex-wife acted a little skeptical, seeming to regard him as just an abusive husband with a hair-trigger temper. Maybe I'll read the book and see for myself.

Chris neither do I, but I believe Hershel believes it.

(Maybe--didn't he start floating this theory after he got a case for beating his wife?)
