The Black Library Booksellers co-founder Lloyd E. Hart, Jr. passed away March 20th, 2008.
I knew Lloyd through his web site:

I never met him in person, but we corresponded, via email, a few times over the years. He was defintely a staunch advocate of supporting Black owned businesses, in general, and black owned booksellers specifically.
They even maintained an AALBC.com logo on their homepage. That type of support or promotion from another book site is so rare that it is virtually non-exisitent.
Tomnorrow March 23rd is the 10th anniversary of the The Black Library Booksellers website (based upon the date the domain name was registered). This was only 3 weeks after the AALBC.com domain was registered.
The internet is less rich as a result of this loss.
