Local Bridgeport Urban Fiction author Felisha Bradshaw will discuss her novel Eyes on the Pryze this coming Saturday March 1, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the downtown Burroughs and Saden 3rd floor Community Room. A novel sprinkled with lesbian erotica Bradshaw says, "I wanted to let society as a whole see that [lesbians] have a voice and a strong presence in our communities. We are not hiding under the rainbow. We have our own views on life, street life and relationships." Eyes on the Pryze follows the lives of Chase Pryze and his identical twin brother Caine. Taken from their drug-addicted parents, and separated at birth each twin suffers through a harsh childhood, and believes the other twin leads a charmed life. Books will be available for purchase and a book signing will take place directly after Ms. Bradshaw's talk. A graduate of Housatonic Community College Bradshaw battled with narcolepsy, which resulted in struggling through school and later struggling to maintain gainful employment. Despite all odds she received her Associate's degree in Science. Bradshaw wrote her debut urban novel Eyes on the Pryze hoping to open the eyes of young adults and enlighten parents to the challenges faced by inner city youth.
