Speaking of Shameless Self Promotion...

Ya'll might not here from me for a while because I'm going to be busy putting the finishing touches on my new novel "LOVE COME APART" (working title) for the next few months. In the meantime, here's a recap of the books I've been associated with in the past four years. They all make great stocking stuffers for the holidays and can be purchased by going to www.aalbc.com. Thanks for a great year of lively discussions and remember to catch my column on the 8th of each month at www.blogginginblack.com!

Fiction

Where is the Love?

Travel through this man’s psyche. Be careful, he is in a very vunerable state. He’s in the midst of his second divorce, still childless and feeling a bit depressed about why he can’t get this love thing right. Where is the Love? touches on issues from a male perspective. By not giving the lead character a name, the issues become more important than the man himself. The nameless man is caught reflecting on his many sexual rendezvous. He wants to move forward with a clean slate. Emanuel Carpenter does a great job when it comes to realistically talking about sex, marriage, divorce, children, sexually transmitted diseases, and last but not least, love. Sprinkled with a bit good humor, Carpenter created a page turner worth reading.{Rolling Out Urban Weekly} Voted the 2006 Infini Promoters Award! Buy it here:

Thanks Robyn. "WHERE IS THE LOVE" and "DEAD GUYS..." were designed by N'Digo Design (www.ndigodesign.com). The cover for "2 Do..." was designed by Michael Odgen and Chris Day for Little, Brown. And "Job.." was designed by the publisher.

Thank you Cynique. I'll be checking in every now and then and hope to have the rough draft of the novel completed no later than February.

If you put together all of Cynique's posts here you'd have enough for a work long as the Encyclopedia Brittanica!

Maybe we could call it "Encyclopedia Moronica"!

Do you guys ever get the feeling that me and Cynique are doing--like--a routine like Redd Foxx and LaWanda Page?

I hope people don't put me in your class, chrishayden, because I certainly don't want to be yoked to a numb skull like you.
And how obvious is it that you're jealous of Emanuel's track record. I really hate to see him take a hiatus because his presence on this board was like an air freshner that deodorized your foul stench. Seriously.

Trust me, my track record ain't nothing to be jealous of.

If Cynique called you a fish-eyed fool and you told her you could stick her face in some dough to make some gorilla cookies, I might say your battles are like Fred Sanford and Aunt Esther. Otherwise, it's pretty light and entertaining stuff.

Well, in comparison to chrishayden's productivity, you're faster at putting out books than he is, Emanuel. (I just thought I'd throw that in there because chrishayden thinks he's such hot s h i t.} And "fish-eyed old fool" is a pretty accurate description of how I see him.

FYI. "Where is the Love?" will be going out of print after 2007. It will be re-written with a new working title (And You Say You Love Me) a new prologue and will shopped to literary agents and publishers in 2008 along with my new manuscript "Love Come Apart." So if you're interested in getting my first novel in its original format, better do so soon.
