It was a night beyond my wildest dreams. Standing room only. (People actually PAID to get in, too) Standing ovation (not just for me of course). Great performance by the actors. Respect and compliments by my peers. Didn't get drunk. Got paid.
I just back all night and enjoyed it--
Funny thing--I haven't written for somebody else in a long time. Usually I am performing or speaking and therefore writing for myself.
This time I was practically done halfway through rehearsals. I was so relaxed when I got to the Regional Arts Council where it was performed
There is of course the terror of being associated with something that is a bomb, which you can never know if it has until the evening is over. But it was largely out of my hands so I just concentrated on watching how my words were brought to life.
Yeah, I could dig some more of that action-- |

I held back reporting on it because I know Cynique had pleasurable visions of me being lynched tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail (it ain't too late, though) and I wanted her to savor them as long as possible before I dashed her hopes to the ground) |
