Grace, peace, and mercy be with all. We are new here. After 30 years, have a new book, Black Saints, Mystics, and Holy Folk (Ancient African Church, Vol. I) ebook.
I am James Wesly Smith, and in my old age, got tired of hearing that Europeans converted us to Christianity. Not so! We converted them.
So setting pen to paper (and arthritic hands to computer keys), finished the discovery of more than 56,000 recognized Black saints in the power early African Church to the year 599 A.D.
Another volume to follow (Vol. II, 600 A.D. to present). Most of our brothers and sisters of and in the African geologic and historical Diaspora do not know that the African Church was among the world' s most powerful and literary, until the Arians and Vandals nearly destroyed it in the 400s. For a while, the African Church had more real bishops (as opposed to today) than the rest of the world combined. Most of us do not know that St. Mark (Gospel of Mark) was African, nor that Yeshua, Jesus the Christ, sent at least 4 apostles to the area (Matthew (apostle to the Ethiopians), Nathaniel Bartholomew, Matthias, Jude Thaddeus Lebbeus (Jesus' cousin). this was while the Europeans were still painting there faces blue.
Concomitantly, the firm publishing (Apostle Dos Rosas Press, is releasing the soundtrack to the Black Catholic film, Camino De Vida (Way of Life), as well as at least four other catholic devotionals such as Afrocentric Rosary (with black spirituals and hymns), and Afrocentric Chaplet of Divine Mercy (with speaking African drums).
More information on these can be found here:
