Hi, it's Kola. I just found out that after I receive a Medal of Honor on March 26th from the South Sudanese Army.....I will be returning to Egypt, my father's country. I will be reunited with Arab family members (who put me up for adoption because of my dark skin) and will include this footage in the DVD of the Medal of Honor Ceremony that comes out in May. I have no money whatsoever, and I am counting on the United States for protection as my Arab family is paying for me to return home. I am still not allowed to set foot in Sudan under any circumstances. This will force me to cancel the following tour dates: Atlanta, April 6th... Wash. D.C. April 8th and Detroit April 9th. I will, however, be able to do The Radisson Hotel Black Writer's event on April 2nd in Los Angeles. I will give a seminar from 2 pm to 2:45 pm called "Writing True to Thine Own Self" and I will sign my books at a guarded booth most of the morning leading up to the seminar. A DVD of the Medal of Honor ceremony-documentary will come out in May titled "Kola Boof: Daughter of Sudan, Daughter of America." Hopefully tomorrow...an AUDIO radio interview with my Adoptive Black American mother and me will be available on online (here at aalbc.com) and you can hear us being interviewed. KOLA | ||
