Emmitt Thrower is the owner and president of the non-profit Wabi Sabi Productions. With the re-opening of Katrina: A Whole Lotta Water in NYC just around the corner on Dec 14, 2006 his organization and their sponsor Fractured Atlas anticipates a lot of buzz about the off Broadway play. After a run in November the show has been held over. These will be the last shows in NY in 2006 before touring to Baltimore, MD. Wabi Sabi Productions and Maryland's Movements Unlimited Performing Arts Company have formed a partnership to bring the multimedia musical to the Baltimore/Washington area in January 2007.
The Re-opening of the hip-hop multimedia musical Katrina: A Whole Lotta Water is Dec 14, 2006 at 8 PM at the Times Square Arts Center Room 500 located at 300 W 43rd St , New York City 10036. Five performances have been added for December 14th through December 17, 2006: Thursday 8 PM, Friday 8 PM, Saturday 3 PM & 8 PM, Sunday 2:30 PM . Tickets are available at www.theatermania.com and by calling 212 352-3101. Groups can call 917 716-6635 for tickets. The cost of admission ranges from $20- $30.

Movements Unlimited Performing Arts Company Inc. is a non-profit 501 3c Corporation. Their management team has over 60 years of operating experience in youth development. Movement Unlimited operates several programs in urban markets in the United States including New Orleans. Sitawi Kiongozi Jahi the President and his wife Cynthia Jasari Williams-Jahi the Founder are unique in that they themselves are former New Orleans residents and survivors of the hurricane Katrina disaster.

Katrina: A Whole Lotta Water will bring attention to a crisis that is still ongoing in the affected areas that the hurricane devastated. The focus of the multimedia event will surround the deep social issues around such a life-changing event and help those unaffected by its far-reaching destruction to come to an understanding of how important it is to feel the pain and suffering of others and count their blessings for what they have. Exploring the emotional, psychological, human rights and race issues through this play will hopefully keep them in the spotlight as this human drama continues to unfold in the gulf coast area. Many life situations can be set to music and dance and this is no exception, in fact, the play brings it all home straight to the heart, and that is the hope and intent of its creators.
