Is it true when we vote for a candidate, we vote for their spouse as well? I predict before September, Michelle Obama will have an entirely new look. Right now she reminds me of a black Barbara Bush.

I definitely think the appearance of a candidate's spouse plays a significant role in how the public votes. In Michelle's case, her conservative, professional (suit-type wardrobe) style is proably appealing to many people, so I don't how much more "they" will change her look. |

I absolutely take the candidate's wife (or husband) into consideration, because I believe who they have chosen as a mate is more telling than just about anything they can say.

MO was on cspan this morning with huge BB-type pearls and a press and curl...hugging a bunch of adoring white ladies...
Yeah, she reminded me of a combination of BB and Oprah. That's probably a good thing as she and her husband reach out to middle America. There were exactly two black people in the audience.
Think anyone can talk MO into sporting some Kinte cloth? |

Michelle needs to do something to her eyebrows to correct that look of perpetual surprise. She has to take on a Stephford wife image, for now. If Obama gets elected, she can be the proverbial strong woman who's behind every powerful man. |

As Michelle become more comfortable with stumping for Barack and after they've softened her styling some, she'll be fine.
Perhaps her only issue is one she can't cure: She's quite tall. Foks aren't accustomed to First Lady's being quiet so tall. |
