Unlike lots of people I do not cherish the illusion that my miserable life will change one whit if Barak HUSSEIN Obama (born and raised in a Muslim Fundamentalist Madrassa)becomes President.
Barak Obama will not become President--at least not this time out.
So I don't even have to think on it. |

No, I dont' think Obama being president will have a big impact on race relations. A white president could possibly exact better results in bringing about changes because anything Obama would do in regard to this could be construed as indulging special interest and set off a panic, making white folks believe that he'll be paving the way for niggazz to take over. And truth be told, whoever was in office never drastically changed my life and that included Reagan. Maybe this was because I worked for the federal government and every time the cost of living went up, we'd get a cost of living raise. Everything else about my circumstacnes was pretty stable and things like affirmative action and trickle-down economics just didn't pervade my existence. Or, maybe, I was oblivious. |

And if your previous post is to be believed, chrishayden, Obama's being elected won't impact on YOU, either. As president, he may alleviate poverty and fight for free health care, but these are not necessarily racial issues. |

As President he ain't gonna do nothing but line the pockets of those who put up that 20 million to get him elected and try to keep from getting assasinated.
I wouldn't be surprised if they used a Negro to get him. You know how they are always fighting each other.
BTW:
I found out who did that song, "Cryin' in the Streets" It was a man by the name of George Perkins and he did it some time between 1969-1978 not in the 40's.
But it had that 40's feel. I am whipping up an act where I sing it (with one of them sweaty, impassioned, screaming, collapse-into-a-hospital bed at the end soul performances, and I think you and Mzuri will be the perfect backup singers for me.

I saw on CSPAN today that not only has Obama raised almost as much dough as Hillary, but the SOURCE of his money allows him to spend much MORE of it during the PRIMARIES than does Hillary's (has something to do with the new campaign funding rules Congress installed a few year ago)So Hillary would have to wait until she'd actually won the Democractic nomination before she could spend a significant portion of what she has.
So in effect: Barack will have MORE money to use to possibly score the Democratic Presidential nomination. |
