personally i felt that eric b and rakin fall under the duo or group section. rakim has stunk w/o eric b and vice versa. |

I'm surprised MTV didn't list the Beastie Boys and Eminem. But I certainly concur with Salt N Pepa who, like The Sugar Hill Gang, were trail blazers when it came to female rappers. |

Uh huh.....Yep....Real raw natural talent and musically gifted folks......Thank God Marian Anderson, Duke Ellington, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Miles Davis, Billy Strayhorn or James Brown never has to compete with them. None of them would have ever been noticed.
