A true film fan should watch your recommendations because of what??? The breathtaking cinematography??? The thought-provoking dialog??? They are award winning??? Or simply because these are some of your favorite films??? Sorry but I prefer to take my recommendations from a credible source such as the AFI or a film critic. LOLOL!

It's hard to narrow my favorites because I been watching movies since I was a little 7 year old back when 2 full length movies were shown at a sitting and the bill changed twice a week and ushers showed you to your seat, - back when, because my moms worked at our local theater, I got to get in the show for free while other kids had to pay a dime. Now I'm still watch movies for free because I just wait for all of the hits to come on cable TV.
Hummmm. let's see.....
the epic "Gone with the Wind" was one of the first movies I remember seeing and that was followed by all of the black-and-white gangster movies of the late 1930s
All of the black-and-white detective film noir pictures and screw ball comedies of the 40s
All of the technicolor musical and western shoot'em ups of the 50s
All of the sci-fi and monster movies of the 60s and every other genre that was popular in the ensuing years, in no particular order.
Psycho (the original one)
The Way We Were
The Sting
Butch Cassidy and the Sun Dance Kid
Indiana Jones, and its sequels
Super Man I & II
Glory
Beverly Hills Cop I & II
Do The Right Thing
The Color Purple
Purple Rain
New Jack City
Menace to Society
Boyz in the Hood
Coming To America
Boomerang
The God Father and its sequels
The Fugitive
The Star Wars "series"
Bat Man I II & III
Gladiator
The Lord of the Rings trilology
Kansas City
Mulholland Drive
Braveheart
Kill Bill I & II
Sin City
The Matrix trilogy
The Best Man
O Brother Where Are You?
Crimson Tide
Gosford Park
The Talented Mr. Ripley
Good Will Hunting
The Bourne Identity and the Bourne Conspiracy
Mulholland Drive
Spider Man I & II
Ray
Broke Back Mountain.
Crash
Mr. & Mrs. Smith
Hustle And Flow
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

mommy dearest is a great film.

"NO MORE WIRE HANGERS-EVERRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!"

chris tucker in the 5th element is just too much.

his acting in that film should have gotten him one of those "fan" awards or something.
chris tucker was too funny in that film.
