...while everybody is thinking about 2008 Bush is doing his best to see that there might not be none..
So far he is just blowing, but I heard a third carrier group is en route to the Gulf. When they get up to five it is on for sure-- |

I saw a photo op of Bush at some black history observation surrounded by a bunch of black folks, and I was surprised at how at ease he seemed, and his gold ol boy persona was going over pretty good with the crowd, too. It was like, I don't know, - massa venturing out among his nigras. |

Three carriers.???? Oh God! That's not good. Trust me, it's like a full parking lot in the Gulf with three carriers (and all their escorts). Trust me. The USS Reagan battle group just deployed last Saturday. Been there -done that! Don't worry, there won't be five up in there. That won't happen.
It's not a good time to be in the military these days. The DOD is so stretched for man power, Navy personal are now being deployed to Army and Marine (non-Corpsman) units to serve anywhere from truck driving to physical security. I've seen Navy electronic technicians who work on SATCOMM and search radar (AN/SPS -49) sent to Iraq for a year duty to work with Army cooks!!! WTF!!?? They don't care, just give em' some warm bodies -we don't care where they come from! Folks, it's worse than you think over there and our troops are being stretched and taxed to the max. And it's not getting any better either.

And Iran is getting pissed off because of being accused of supplying Iraq with the weaponry that now includes air power, and has said in so many words that if America would just leave Iraq, then it would be much easier for the warring factions to settle their differences by diplomacy. And Iran probably is secretly arming one of the groups, while shoring up its nuclear stock pile. America really does need to let those Arabs settle their own differences and just give Israel what it needs to defend itself because that's one of the main reasons this country is over there. Watta mess! |

Well, Tonya, we both agree that brown meat brings a twinkle to ol Dubya's eye, something we can maybe attribute to Condoleeza Rice. heh-heh. |
