What continues to complicate matters is how the troops are turning out to be pawns in this tug-a-war because nobody wants to put them in jeopardy. And what compounds the dilemma is that so many of them don't want to be pulled out of Iraq. This is a volunteer army and the young men who comprise it have that "us" against "them" mentality. To them it's like a game and they want their team to win. They are the good guys fighting the bad guys in order to save America from the dreaded terrorists. They believe in what they are fightin for. Also a lot of the their comrades have been lost and they want to get their revenge. This is the Catch-22 BS that the neoncons have gotten America mired in. |

I was wrong--they can't even bring about a DEBATE on a non binding resolution.
As those corrupt stuffed shirts dither, people are dying.
They can forget trying to sell Representative Republics (for there are no democracies) in the rest of the world. |
