Posted on Thursday, February 01, 2007 - 04:09 pm:        A very timely article, dealing with the ongoing colorism dilemma which will not go away. And it certainly reflects the points of view expressed on this board wherein, like the world at large, resolutions remain elusive. One of the more interesting things about this commentary was the tall dark woman saying that once she started to speak, white people became more respectful of her. That is a greatly overlooked aspect. Any black person who can speak well has a leg-up, and it is possible for a black person to speak well without trying to sound white.
