Lola, I have to be honest, I have never heard of you until a person
claiming to be you posted on a message board I frequent. Will you please
verify if this person is you? This person posts derogatory things about
black people and has a vile, mean mouth. Since you write for the NY
Times, I would be shocked that you would come to a message board and
"troll" around. The name of the message board is Thumperscorner.com and the
category that "you" post on is Culture, Race and Economy. If you are in
fact the troll who posts on that message board, I have to say that I am
sadly disappointed that a sista with such talents as yourself would
lower herself to posting insipid crap just to get a rise out of people.
Please respond or better yet....visit the message board in question to
see for yourself. Thanks.

Good point. I was thinking the same thing. There is no way a professional astute writer (and openly use their their real name) who allegedly works for a major publishing company would ever write mindless offensive drivel, post pornographic photos and openly brag and give sordid details of their sex life. But it's interesting how Igbola logged on using Lola Ogunnaike's name, thinking she would never get caught. Obviously she was not very bright.

Lola-O was supposedly on suspension at The NY Times, and it's very possible that she's a rebel, someone who likes to thumb her nose at convention and yank people's chains. I have never totally discounted that this poster wasn't really who she said she was. She could come here and disrupt the board by posting anything she felt like saying and then attribute it to an imposter while laughing her ass off. This is called "devilment" and it's the black hole of cyber space where you can get away with just about anything. |
