hola chica bonita! got some questions that i figured u could answer pertaining to your neck of the woods.
- i am wondering if there are any good resturants on the magnificant mile that don't cost an arm & leg ... and how far is that rock & roll mcdonalds cafe from everything? ( because that's fine dineing :-) )

- how much is the navy pier (couldn't get a price from their website and i don't like being put on hold long enough to start molding.

- and which do you think is the best museum out of all them chi-town has.

if u could hook me up w/ any of those answers it would be much appreciated. thanks!

:-)

Gee, Dobes. I wish I could be of more help to you but since I live in a suburb of Chicago and I don't really hang out in Chicago's hot spots anymore, I just don't know what to tell you about restaurants on the magnificent mile which is actually more like Rodeo Drive and is a shopping mecca famous for upscale designer duds. There is fine dining in the down-town "loop" area although I don't know how the prices run and this is where rock and roll MacDonalds would be found if it's still open. It's hard to say which museum is the best between The Field Museum of Natural History and The Museum of Science and Industry because they are both world famous as is the Art Institute and The Adler Planetarium and the Shedd Acquarium. The King Tut exhibit is still at the Field Museum I believe, and of course Sue the famous dinosaur restored from fossils. Chicago's south side which is where the black folks are mostly concentrated is also home to the DuSable Museum of African-American history. I have gotten very good feed-back about the tour buses which really aren't that expensive and which will take you around to all of Chicago's points of interest. ABM lives in Chicago. I suggest you direct some of these questions to him since he probably gets out and about in the city more than I do anymore. I'm going to check with my daughters about some things.

I am veeeeery nervous about the Bears. Anytime a field-goal kicker is the most consistent player on a team, you have to keep your fingers crossed.

The museum? The Planetarium?

Dobes wants to eat drink and fornicate, don't you , Dobes?

Tell the man about some of those sinful fleshpots of iniquity!

Dobes asked: "and which do you think is the best museum out of all them chi-town has" and I was responding to his question. He said he's bringing his girlfriend along with him so any sinful activities on his mind can be done with her. And Rush Street is no longer "notorious". Why don't you stay out of grown folks conversations, chrishayden?

For Cynique, ABM and any other lurking Chicago folks: Good luck! Here is how dedicated some of y'all are: LOL

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/6391994?print=true

Chicago school teacher Colleen Pavelka knows how much her husband loves the Bears. Apparently, she loves him even more.

Colleen chose to have the birth of their second child induced a few days early so Mark Pavelka could attend Sunday's NFC Championship showdown between the Bears and the New Orleans Saints.

The baby was due Monday. But when Colleen went in for an appointment Friday afternoon, her doctors told her she could opt for an early delivery. She decided to do so.

After nearly six hours of labor, 8-pound, 9-ounce Mark Patrick Pavelka was born Friday night.

Colleen Pavelka plans to catch the game on the plasma screen TV in her hospital room, while baby Mark Patrick is bundled up in the Bears receiving blanket his grandmother bought him for Christmas.

I along with the whole city am celebrating right now, Yvette. The last time the Bears went to the Superbowl was in 1985 and I can remember it like it was yesterday! Last month when I was packing away some of my husband's things I came across an old Bear T-shirt that he brought back then. I tucked it away so I could wear it if the Bears made it to the play-offs. When I put it on today, I could even get a faint whiff of the Aramis cologne he used to wear back then. And I just feel that he was right here with me, rooting Da Bears on to victory.GO BEARS!

Congratulations on the Bears win, Cynique. I'll root for them during SuperBowl.

Sweet story about your Husband's Bears shirt
