Why, not being gay themselves?
1) As Black people, who more than anybody else than the Native American have suffered merely because of who they are we should be utterly opposed to status attacks--attacking people merely because of who they are and not what they have done.
2) Such conduct between consenting adults harms noone.
3) Being Gay is most probably genetic--who, knowing what oppression gay people face would choose to be gay?
4) Forcing Gay people into the closet opens them up to extortion and fear of persecution---J.Edgar Hoover, Mark Foley, etc, in the closet, did much harm to draw attention from themselves.
5) You all know somebody Gay. When you are talking about Gay people it may seem fine--then somebody targets that gay uncle or aunt, neighbor or choirmember. |

I don't have a problem with gay people until they try to force their lifestyle on others around them.
Lately, I've been seeing a lot more transgender males in the workforce. And I still think it's ridiculous to see a man dressed up as a woman. It scares me everytime I see it, and I usually stare. |

I understand that all men are not gay - my comment was hypothetical. You said gayness harms no one, but it does. Besides the negative impact upon the human race, look at all the families in turmoil over this. What about all the children whose fathers now profess to be gay, abandoning their families to go live the gay lifestyle?
Look at the AIDS epidemic (WHICH WAS STARTED AND SPREAD BY HOMOSEXUAL MEN).
It might not be so bothersome if the gays were discreet and monogamous, but instead they go out and have anonymous sex with complete strangers possibly having several sex partners in one night. And they don't practice safe sex.
I read somewhere that the hip thing now is to go out and deliberately catch AIDS. So that they can be a part of "something."
And how are you gonna run some voodoo on me when your ass is gay and you can't find your crusty dusty anyhow?

You should be able to bone and marry anyone who can legally consent to such (presuming, of course, that children, animals and inanimate objects are legally incapable of consenting). It's really not a moral issue. It's a CONSTITUTIONAL one.
Although it bothers me to see a male dress up like women typically do, it shouldn't. Heck. Females generally get to dress in typical male attire without all the consternation. Queer men should be able to do the same.
There are plenty lesbian women who are deceiving husbands and boyfriends as well. Many of them are even having and raising their children.
It's interesting how gay men are loathe while lesbians are considered chic. I guess that's largely because gay men are blamed for the spread of AIDS. Partly because guys get off on chicks licking each other. But perhaps more than anything else it's because while a woman can be considered a woman sans a man a man generally isn't considered a full man without a woman. Or womanhood is presumed while manhood must be earned.
It's largely unfair to blame gay men for the spread of HIV to others. Because if you're fool enuff to have unprotected sex with someone with whom you're not married, you're as much to blame for what comes of such as the person you're boning. |

The population will not cease because of men having sex with men or women with women. Anyone, who believes "that" is....well... Anyhow, human beings are sexual beings period. Homosexuality is a form of natural selection and population control( this is not to say that individuals don't choose to experiment, it's their perogative anyway), hell the population control still ain't working though cause I still can't find a parking spot on my street here in Long Beach. Anal sex is enjoyed by men and women of all persuasions. Like it or not. Whether it's good for the body is a personal choice and no one else's concern. We might as well be bitchin about smoking, drinking, food additives, cloned food, air pollution,drugs, etc. Anybody, check out the stats on the increase of autism in children ? Yeah let's blame that on gay men too. Also gay men don't "own" anal sex. Many gay men are monogamous, private, don't dress up as women, and have been in long term relationships just as long as hetero couples that goes the same of lesbian couples. There are many straight men and women who sleep around, use drugs, and have unprotected sex, and guess what they'll experience the consequences from "their" lifestyle.
Families with absent fathers are the result of many reasons, again, blaming gay men is juevenille. LOL! Bible verses are always used selectively as usual. What about the ten commandments?

I find it just as equally repulsive to see a woman dressed up in thug attire mimicking male mannerisms, as it is to see a man in a dress pretending to be a feminine woman. Although, I will admit that a man in a dress stands out far much more than a woman in a baggy t shirt and jeans.
Jackie, I know all homosexual men do not cross dress, but I was speaking on the ones who do, and I find it very odd and distasteful. I don't care what anybody else thinks, when they say I should be more accepting of it. Transgenders can do what they want but I will continue to form my opinion on how ridiculous it looks to me. Let's consider the economic implications of embracing this demographic. GAY Men tend to be very wealthy. Just hold your breath if you can't stand the smell of shitty dicks and fishy, funky tongues (YUCK!)... This is probably the only group of people (next to the Jews) that can get anything done that they collectively set their minds to.
But alas, there are some members of the gay white community who are quite racist. Black gays are often aloof to issues outside of their own social circles, and most of them are EXTREMELY self-hating. What's a self-righteous, blackie to do? I still say embrace'em.

Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! That's funny! LMAO!!!! I've seen it all my life so it doesn't faze me in the least. However, I can understand your dismay at seeing a shaved masculine looking man with a wig, dress, high heels and make up on. I'm not homophobic, but I gotta admit it's usually not a pretty sight. Especially black males. Brothers are at the bottom of the list when it comes to passing for women (as a group!). I was sitting in a coffee shop about an hour ago working on my lap top when a dark complexioned brother walked by in high heels (which made him about 6'4"), blond wig and a dress on. I mean, I'm not a hater, but I asked myself, "Does he really think no one will notice??? Does he really think people will believe he is a woman? WTF???"
Asians are much better at passing. The ones I saw in Singapore, Philippines, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and especially Thailand, can pass very easily if you are not carefully examining them. They have small joints, feet, hands, naturally very long hair and do not have much body hair. I remember when I was on a deployment and I had written about what I seen. She was sista gurl friend of mine who wanted me to document the exotic Lady Boys in Thailand that she read about. When I came back to the states and had no pictures, she went off on me!! I thought she was joking but evidently she was not! True story.
Many Latinos can pass well also. I was in Puerto Nuevo, Mexico last week for a few days with a friend and one came over to our table to serve our drinks. My friend thought she was a good looking woman since she had a curvy body, huge boobs (paid for of course), attractive face and very long black hair down to her waist. I had to tell her that the waitress may have been pretty but she was really a he! She couldn't believe it! The Brazilians probably pass better than any ethnic or racial group that I have seen. I have no idea how they do it, but they pass very well for women.
But the average brother...well....most just ain't cutting it with the female life style thing. As I said, I have no issues with any ones personal life as long as it is consensual and private. But I really have no idea what happens when a person actually believes they are of the opposite sex. For example, a gym I used to work out had a sista girl in their that was so hard core, huge (about a solid buffed 240 lbs) and masculine, I actually saw her curling 60 lb dumbbells in each hand! She also looked and acted like a man. In fact, I saw her in a club one night in men's clothing with a drink, looking hard and rough as Mike Tyson. But then again, she was not trying to fool anyone. I used to think all crossdressers were trying to pass as women. But I think I've now come to understand that many of them are more concerned with whether or not THEY look and feel more female to THEMSELVES. And I guess the clothing, accessories and makeup help them to achieve that end.
Though, to me, this begs the question of how they would dress if their was much less difference between how the average straight male and female dressed.
Perceptions and perspectives change. Maybe a generation from now, we'll hardly even look askance at transvestites.
Why do you think Black men are less convincing as transvestites while Asian and Latino men are most convincing? Is it because you think Black men are generally more MANLY-looking thus making it more difficult to disguise our maleness?
I'm not sure I'm qualified to aptly answer your question. There was a time when I would have instantly said "Yes". I mean, if you're physiologically male and desire to have sexual relations with other men, it stands to reason that you would be homosexual. But now - in this era of sex changes, hormone therapy - I'm not sure what I believe. |

Yeah, cross dressers are a separate group. Most are married, heterosexual and have no homosexual experiences. But for some bizarre reason, they enjoy dressing in women's clothes and underwear. I can't even begin to under this behavior but it seems to be harmless. There are no real victims other than their wives whose undergarments they borrow.

Because they are. It's not just a personal opinion. In fact, it was brought to my attention by a woman. I had never noticed it before but after that conversation, I started noticing. It then became very obvious, even to the causal observer. This is not to say there are no black males who can pass. That's not true. I'm looking at the group, not the individual.

I think so. From what I have observed, black men are less likely (as a group) to pass as females. It's a physical thing. Black men have very dominant male features (which is a good thing -IMO).

Understood. But here is the wrench in the cog wheels. Male transsexuals actually believe they are females. They seek relationships with straight men -not gay men! Gay men seek relationships with men -not transsexuals! I guess the idea of person being attracted to another person of the same sex is the bread and butter of the so-called homosexual definition.

And I haven't seen any fully costumed Black/African American transgendered men. The most they will do is wear makeup in male attire. |

LOL....there are some VERY feminine looking gay men. I once took some pics with some drag aueens some uears ago....then showed them to my male friends who all said how HOT and gorogeous theys are. LOL....only one guy knw they were men, and that's because he looked at their hands. |

And let's thump our bibles at people who are breaking EVERY OTHER biblical law. I can't stand people who use the bible against only what they don't like themselves. If you're going to make a big deal out of what the bible says about gays.... make a big deal out of what it says about eating pork, working on the sabbath, women keeping their mouths shut in churtch, etc., etc., etc.
Reminds me of a woman who bitched and moaned about me having friends of different nationalities. She said that the BIBLE says we shouldn't be friends of people of foreign lands and I'm going to hell if I have friends outside of my race/nationality/religion. And she was a MINISTER!! (BTW...she had children out of wedlock also). When I pointed out that she was fornicating and speaking in church whih are lso against biblicala law....what did she say?
