How many of you are writers? Have you had anything published? If not, how come? When I say 'published' I don't mean self-published a la Cynique. What sort of stuff do you write?

Interesting attitude, Shuckspir.

To answer your question, I am a writer. I write newspaper and magazine articles and yes I have been published.

Yes, KB, we all know you've been published; we all know you work for Days Of Our Lives, or used to, etc. Whatever. It's getting old.

Who cares? Ickykola, who has the unmitigated gall to compare herself to Shakespeare, is really having a hard time dealing with the fact that I am not competing with her for writing "honors". She's so petty and immature with her playground mentality. I "produced" my book from cover-to-cover on a word-processing machine and then sent the camera-ready manuscript to a printer who ran off 200 copies for me. It was a project that was a really fun, engrossing, experience and a labor of love. Contrary to the trashing at the hands of the "self-styled" reviewer who voluteered to critique the book for free, there were many others who appreciated the mimimalist technique I adopted in writing the book. LOL. No biggie.

For your information fucktard, there's nothing disgraceful about being self-published - only your small monkey turd brain would draw that conclusion. Many writers choose to do this in order to retain control of their creativity, control the book's distribution, as well as to realize more profits from their sales. It's actually becoming the thing to do.

I don't write anything but poetry, but I LOVE copy-editing and have copy edited a friends book....actually had to re-write portions, move things around so the book had a better flow, delete some portions, etc. It's kind of a hobby of mine. Most of my poetry is so personal and spiritual that I'm the only person who's read it and I don't show it to anyone.

I will only share this one, that has no spiritual meaning to me. I dreamt it one night (I often dream in poetry for some reason).

I succumb to your embrace as though your arms were the death of me.

Not all that good, but again, it came to me in a dream and really doesn't hold much meaning for me.

HEre's something I thought was cute. I recently self published a book called ON YOUR KNEES WHITE BITCH. For my author photo I was photographed sitting on the couch, looking demure from the waist up but with my hairy bush showing and my white nylon panties around my ankles. One thing I thought was cute was that the (white) photographer kept saying SHOW ME YOUR PINK and what he meant by that was

A very good and factual point Mzuri. But you'd be surprised how many people don't realize this.
