Hey Roxie.
Kola's book is literature. Not a "tell all" by a bimbo.
And it's really good. Beyond good.
It's not about Osama Bin Laden, which is why she fought to keep him off the cover.
The book is more about this Black American family adopting this little African girl whose parents were killed in front of her and then it's about that child's struggle with mental health and how she became a novelist, activist and spy.
I loved Kola's Auntie Ramah in Sudan who was a witch and a lesbian and Kola's American father and her Nana.
I can see why they want to make this a movie. It's really a powerful story and Kola of course can write her ass.

Pretty,
I went back on amazon and ordered the book. I called a representative afterward they said the book should arrive between late february and early march, which corroborates with the site's info. If it doesn't arrive by the latter part, I got the number nearby, and a speech prepared.;)
Thank god they won't charge me until the book actually ships. ^^' |
