Back in high school,I had a black classmate who refuse to date black girls. what was his excuse? A black girl "did something bad to me once". Oh please, and this is how he deals with his pain?
In comparison, how many times have black women been rejected and hurt by a variety of people, yet we don't cut an entire category of people from our social preferences? That's the coward's way out.
Why do men hate action films with a female hero? Are they intimidated by the charaters? Do those characters remind them too much the LAST THING they want their submissive wives to become?
Anyone remember "the fresh prince of bell air"? Why was the dark-skinned, more powerful Vivian banks replaced by a timid, light-skinned Vivian? does it have anything to do with the reported conflicts janet hubert-whitten had with Will Smith back-stage?
Are they so threatened by our immnese strentgh that they have to resort to dating women outside they're culture and ethnicity to treat their briused egos"?
Why are black men still trying to meet european social standards anyway? Can't they understand that a black woman's femininity will never match that of a non- black woman's?
Why can't they understand that they represent a different standard of masculinity?
At this point I'm gettting sick of some men(including a few I often hear bitching on this board), they never had coping skills and are hiding their weaknesses behind a veil of a "24-hour literary genius" persona. Others continue to play the "spike lee joint", "white devil" schick that became obsolete way back in 1995.
Let's be honest here: All they want to do is replace their white-skinned counterparts in sexual and social dominance, all in the guise of "revolution", obviously brings NO PROGRESS, just puts a new face on the same old inequality.
The black man's revolution serves only them,the black MAN.

I guess I am not that cynical.
I believe men and women, Black, White or any other race, are individuals. You meet good and bad in all types of people. |
