Word is Denzel is getting divorced. Not sure how true it is, but it's from a reliable source. Who knows??? It could have something to do with Sanaa's baby... You never know...
Honestly, I don't like Pauletta. Her speech at the BET awards really made be dislike her with all her christian talk, actin like she's all high and mighty... Not only that, but she can't speak at all. She was sayin a lot of words, but wasn't nothing coming out. Denzel needs to put her in speech class or something.
This also pissed me off. When she said something like "Denzel loves us so much, and you so much, that he ACTUALLY TOOK THE TIME OUT to say a few words." He was recieving a humanitarian award, so it was only right that he send in a tape of him accepting his award. Maybe I'm taking it out of context, but if that's the case, like I said, she needs those speech classes. |

My Goodnes, Edenson. You're turning into a regular male version of Rona Barret. I have both read and heard that there is no truth to the rumors about Denzel and Sanaa. As for Denzel's wife, I do find her rather staid and matronly. Denzel is a deacon at the church he regularly attends and I think he has turned to religion to help him resist all of the temptations he's subjected to. Poor guy. LOL. |

It would e nice if Denzel stayed married to his matronly wife. Some black man needs to set an example that a black wife on your arms is a good thing. Tired of successful black men puting white women on a pedestal. |

God she is still breathtakingly beautiful.... How old is she -- she still looks young. She also looks well kept and comforable! I hope I look that good when I'm her age, which is not that long away  ....But if I look half as good as she does, I'll be fine. I wonder how she has her hair. It looks sorta like a fro; so I'm feelin it, I mean, I'm diggin the style but I don't know.. hmmm.... Oh, well.. whatever it is, it looks spectacular on her.

I was feeling the dress, too, Renata.. (something I'd wear also) but I had to choose between the dress and the hair -- I didn't want it to seem like I was sweat'n the sistah (lol).

It's a testiment to the power of knee-jerk reactions when a long distance shot of a dark-skinned woman whose face is concealed by a cap and large sunglasses in one shot and whose back is turned to the camera in another shot, inspires such awe. If this woman had light skin, y'all would be tearing her apart, wondering why a fione brotha like Denzel couldn't do any better. LMAO! |

Well, Cynique... unless Mrs. Washington looks any older than about, oh, six months ago (when last I saw her, close up), she's aging beautifully.. as well as Dianne Carrol (sp), a women I've also "awed" over in a recent post. Mrs. Carrol is light-skinned.. isn't she???
Anyhoo.. Kudos to those who deserve such praises -- I can tell you that Dianna Ross (who isn't even that light) does not.

As I have previously stated, I am not a fan of Diana Ross but for a woman in her early sixties, to me, she looks better than Denzel's wife. Her skin is not wrinkled and she has no bags under her eyes, or a double chin. She has even managed to maintain a decent weight. |

I don't remember saying anything about the woman or her skin color. But since you pushed, I do like her hair. Not quite big enough for my personal taste, but cute. |

IMO, I think Denzel's wife looks good for her age and for having as many children as she has had. She looks like a woman who is the wife of a very wealthy man--nice makeup, fine clothing, and healthy hair/skin. She looks very "put together"--very "kept"-- which makes her appealing. She's refined--but in a matronly sort of way. I think money makes her "look", though. Without all that money, she would (proably) look completely different. Money can do some fab "work".

she wouldn't be esteemed, symbolized, and in the public eye this way; therefore, there wouldn't be a discussion....

Denzel has ALWAYS been a cheater...
But the thing that I can respect about him is that he has never tried to portray himself as this perfect family guy anyway...so it's not like he is/was being phoney about himself.
Sanaa and Denzel has been together since the movie "Out of Time".
By the way, if Denzel had been married to a lighter skinned women, he would have just checated on a lighter skinned women, instead of the dark skinned wife he has now.

How do you know these things about Denzel and Sanaa??? Is your gossip any more reliable than other peoples? And I'm wasn't talking about whether Denzel would cheat on a light-skinned wife or not. I was talking about the perceptions of the color-conscious posters on this board. Anyway, I really don't care whether ol Denzel is cheating on his wife or not. But he is conscious of his image or he wouldn't have been so uncomfortable with white Julia Roberts kissing him on stage when he received his Oscar and he did refuse to kiss her on screen in the "Pelican Brief". He does let it be known how he coaches his sons' sports teams, and how he is a church-going man. |

Okay, so i went back to my source, and because they are such a good source, they went and cleared the rumor up... Denzel himself said that he and his wife are happy.... so i guess this puts an end to this rumor. |

Pauletta is beautiful
And Denzel, himself, said that she was far more cultured and knowledgeable than him when they married.
I respect him for not changing his mind about who he wanted to be with once he became a star.
Mess around or no mess around, he and his fortune, and obviously his heart, remain with his wife and children.
