What is SO depressing about people defending you against attackers?! Not them ,but you got tonya , AQ, ABM ,me and alot of other people on this board and all over the web willing to protect your integrity!Goddamnit!
*I* wished I always had someone to defend my honor, then I could finally end my long time one-woman army. Trust me, the fort crumbles QUICKLY when there's only ONE person protecting it.
But I guess SOME people don't know what they have.

Kola, I'm awake again, feeling better.
For that "Dark women" topic, " you sound seldom interested for the plight of the fraction of psychologically damaged women, an issue I take to heart more than the general defense of black women. Because they represent a mere FRACTION of the general population means they are NOT WORTH REACHING?
YOU don't have to take that challenge on, but *I* see it as a serious cause (next to yours) and *I* choose to take the reins. Your response to my feelings toward this issue is almost hurtful and insulting to me AND the girs (now women) I shared 2 months of my adolescence with. If you can't relate, AT LEAST have respect for me on this issue.
Just to end on a nice note, knowing psychs and therapists too well, those girls could gain a lot more from "Flesh and the Devil" than any session with "Dr. Steinberg" or "Dr. Patel"!
And this is honesty, pure and simple.

ROXIE,
this is depressing because....
I receive Hate Mail all day every day.
Sure, there were some people defending me---but like any public figure, I notice MOST the mean things that are being said and the lies told on me.
I know the spirit you meant it...and I know that you're a big supporter. So I love you for that and I knew you meant well.
But I get so much hate mail each day and so many BIG PEOPLE at the top (particularly powerful black men and "high yellow" women) who do everything to put road blocks in my career. So you can't understand how I don't look forward to those kind of threads.
But as I've said before, I love you and I admire you. Don't trip off me--I'm shellshocked.
