....so I'm in the middle of reading from my novel at the libary and I'm doing pretty good so I decide to do a little name dropping to make myself look like a big deal--
I start throwing Kola Boof's name around like I'm the only one who knows who she is and I'm going to wow these rubes with my heavy connections and tell them a bunch of stuff they don't know and make them want to die with envy.
I'm reciting details from the legend of Kola Boof, with one hand over my heart, looking up in the sky, hat off--
Folks from the audience start correcting me--"She's from the Sudan" I say. "Actually she's half Egyptian" someone says. It went on like that until I changed the subject and got back to reading--like I was supposed to be doing anyway.
So I wind up looking like a big dope! All I can say is, Thanks, Kola! Next time I'm going to talk up Yukio and Cynique! |

You know how much I love you. I've got a weak spot, because you remind me of my Uncle Booey.
You seeem to like everything he likes and you get in my behind about the same issues he does.
