I haven't seen BABYGIRL around in a while---but she was right about something.
My New York City tour, scheduled for October, is going to have to be postponed---and probably won't take place until January (after "Diary of a Lost Girl" comes out at christmas).
The reasons are varied, but mainly...(1) I continue to be ill--having lower back pain, headaches, lack of appetite and crying spells (because of the back pain), not having energy to take my walks anymore--which the doctors claim are all "psychological" and NOT my kidneys, and I also refuse to take medication, so I'm just not well enough to deal with a tour of New York--a place where many of my worst enemies reside and I would need to be at my optimal best. (2) I need to finish "The Sexy Part of the Bible" very desperately now that so many houses are waiting to read it--and I want to be with a major house. The book is very complex, and has to be to my liking. (#3) The poem that I wrote for John Garang's funeral, "Choll Apieth", has become such a hit--that it established some of the prestige press that I was going to New York to court (for instance--I've been asked to give a recital at Columbia University just because of that poem---and major newspapers in Kenya, Uganda and South Africa have all published the poem----AND----a legendary black male writer who once cursed me, wrote an apologetic note saying what talent I have).

Kola Boof? Are you ever going to do a tour in Florida, or be on any nationally broadcasted AM radio shows? The speakers on my computer don't work, so I cant listen to your clips, but I would love to hear you speak. I know that your words are powerful on paper, but to hear it directly from your mouth, is probably even more captivating. I live in Miami, so if you're ever in town, don't forget to post it up on here.
And, is there a place where I can go to find out more about your tour and such? because I don't think your website has any info on when or where we can hear you speak.

OWWW. Could they be kidney stones? even if it isn't try drinking pure cranberry jiuce for the next couple days.
Oh it could also be stress-related. Get as many opinions as you can, that's all I can say.
