Hi Cynique,
I am not the one who always deletes the posts, but I did just then. For instance--I did not delete Babygirl's posts a few weeks back.
I am going to write to TROY, because I want this particular guy BANNED and he is Ethiopian and makes me ashamed to be African.
Unfortunately, this only proves what I was telling ABM on here a few years ago about the racism that Egyptians, Ethiopians and other MIXED Africans so openly express for Black Americans and the rest of us who are Nilotic-Negroid.
There are people in my part of the world who speak this way towards blacks out in the streets...daily.
Many Ethiopians in D.C. and in L.A., when speaking in their own language refer to AAs as "monkeys"--and since I can pass for AA, I have often called them out about it--especially one Taxi Driver who was talking in Amaric about AAs and I told everyone on the sidewalk what he was saying.
This is why you see Blacks murdering blacks in Darfur--because the ones with a little "mixture" are ignorant enough to hate the pure ones.
Now I have to get back to writing my new novel.
I love everybody here...and I have SPECIAL PRAISE for the "Black Americans", because they not only survived the worst holocaust the earth has ever known--they also saved my life and raised me to be strong and to be myself. To me, they are AFRICANS and they are my family forever.
I am very ashamed by this ignorant Ethiopian and Troy will BAN him.

Don't these Ethiopians know that once they come to the US that they are negros as well? LOL
I believe that any black person who comes from Africa, doesn't matter wether they came in 2003 or 1900, is a nigger. It doesn't matter wether they're light or dark. It may seem like slavery no longer exists but we're the better off slaves because time moves on... It just seems that way and it makes allot of sense too. It's so sad to point this out but it is all so true.
Remember, Africa will always be the continent of black people so Ethiopians who find themselves better might as well get out of there... White people in America are only suprised when they hear of "white Africans". Africa is a black man's home forever no matter what. |

On one of your other post you described AAs as being poeple who are only the decendants of slaves and not slaves. This is true, but my great grandmother's great grand mother was a slave and I am only 31. In addition, I still look a lot like our ancestors and so do most AAs. My point is that you make it seem like we are so far from our ancestors but this is not true for most African Americans. Most of us are still very much like them and some of us are proud of that. The majority of us do not look like how you have been desribed as looking. As a result, I think that when you make statements like this one you are going by how you look and how you are instead of thinking about the majority of us. Also, I notice that when you are arguing with the Ethiopian you make reference to AAs as being middle class poeple who've accomplished a lot.While I am not here to agree with the Ethiopian, and I do Agree that as a people we have accomplished a lot, I must point out that some of what you say is not true. We are not all a bunch of middle class poeple. Most of us are working class and/or poor. It seems to me that you are purposly misrepresenting us because you are ashamed of who we are. At the same time it appears that you are describing us by the way that you are (and probably by the way you look) because you think that it's an improvement. You come across as being ignorant and arrogant at the same time. The irony in this is that you are defending us, but when I read your posts it becomes very clear that you are embarrassed and ashamed of who we really are.There is nothing wrong with your being ashamed but you must remember that many of us are proud of who we are. I think that the best thing that you can do is try not to speak for the rest of us. The majority of us. Maybe you should just speak for yourself. |

What in the world are you talking about, Tonya??? How have I been describing African Americans as looking??? Or myself, for that matter. Kola is the one who is constantly making reference to my color. If it wasn't for her, people on this board wouldn't even know what color I am. And did I ever once mention skin color when referring to the middle class? Since the ethiopian was putting all African Americans in the same category, I was making him aware of the fact that we do not all live in the circumstances he described. I said nothing about color. Your accusing me of being ashamed of black people is also off-base, because I said very little against African Americans, and instead focused my remarks on the ethiopian's arrogant claims about his people. Feeling the way you do, why don't you step up and defend the race against the things the ethiopian said and stop allowing your super-sensitivity to see things that weren't there in my posts. Incidentally, my great-great grandmother was also a cold black slave, and contrary to what certain people would have you believe, everybody in my family is not light-skinned. And I repeat. Instead of raggin on me, you need to direct your resentment against the ethiopian who is talkin bout us niggas like dogs. |

Tonya is not Kola.
I happen to respect the opinions of both Cynnique and kola but I have to admit that I do side with Kola more than anyone else.
Although I do not agree with Cynnyque most of the times I learn a lot from what she writes. She forces people to think and she has a way of figuring people out right away. She's right, I am sensitive. How she figured that out by just reading my one post is amazing. That's why I respect her opinion so much. She seems like she knows a lot and I like to learn.

Without Ethiopians or Cushites and Berbers in North Africa would Africa even have any history to speak. Even the Word Africa belongs to the light skinned North African Berbers who the Romans called Afriq. The rest of Africa the Horn of Africa was known as Ethiopia and Punt, Egypt was known Egypt or Kmt, and the rest of Africa was not even known until Arabs ventured west of Egypt 7th century. So Africa without Cushites[Ethiopians, SOmalis, Beja,Ancient Egyptians,Ancient Nub] and Berbers[Libyans,Morrocans, Algerians,Maurtanians] would have never had history. |

"Ethiopian" is not really ethiopian I know him from other boards he is an Italian or an Italian-American.
Ducaale these guys look down at ethiopians and somalis because they cannot get past some inferiority complexes, dont retaliate with kissing arab and north african ass, alot of these guys couldnt tell a Somali from a Ghanian, we are all niggers to them. Somaliland I don't care much about Arabs. Arabs to me are just brothers in faith the same way as Pakistanees or Indonesian or European Muslim. Berber also brothers in faith, but unlike Arabs Berbers as pure Africans as anyone in Africa and the Afrocentrics in here can't except them because they don't look like how they look like. It amazeses me how you could protect people who hate Islam and consider anyone who from Horn of Africa as half breed simple because they look different than other Africans.

Even I who has zero knowledge about History know that Zanj was referred to by the Persian not Arabs everything from South of Mombasa. Mogdishu in the beginning was an Arab port city, Somalis only migrated to Mogadishu mainly from the north and from the West Ajuuran kingdom some time 14th century. Muslim Kingdom of Adal and Ajuuran adn city of harari are more Somali than Mogadishu which belonged to Arabs and Persian traders, that is why Barawaanis or reer Xamar as they are called are mixture of mainly Arab, Persian, Bantu and Somali ethnic. |

no brother, I wont defend these people. These people are too entrapped in self-defeatist mentality, they are bringing heaps of baggage and reflecting their identity problems on Horn Africans. If you notice, I used Timbuktoo as my example, Timbuctoo like harrar was an Islamic city that you might call "holy" in so far that pigrims went there to seek education from the madrassahs, thats how sophisticated Islamic Africa is. Alot of people here especially kola are anti-muslim as much as anti-arab, so dont think I would side with them by pointing this out. What i didnt like to see was resorting to there level and dismissing full Sub Saharan Africa civilizations because they hate us...they can hate us horn of africans all they want, they are not in any position of power to do anything with their hate, its not like you dont see it in the street from some of them. sorry if I offended you brother, it wasnt my intention |

I am African American and i had mentioned on another post that "Ethiopian" was a white boy who came here to cause division between black people. I could tell by they way he kept using "niggers".
The religious and tribal division in Africa really sickens me. We are all black people and we need to wake the fuck up or we will continue to suffer. |

Cassidy, Ethiopian and African are both similar words in that the light skinned man came up with them. Sudan, Nigeria, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Kenya... you name them all and they're all countries of Africa so whoever was born from Africa and I can care less if your ancestors were white is "African" because they were born in Africa.
Back in Africa, Ethiopia is a known country because of the features of those people but this does not mean anything really once you're in America. And who cares about the looks when the damn country's people are dying of starvation; the "Ethiopian bellied" child because of lack of food..are there light skinned Africans responsible for this or Ethiopians, who is making this "Ethiopian" look so bad in the face of the earth?
I will take one of Kola's quote, "Life did not start yesterday" but I believe among others including herself that it could be started again, the right way. And it will be! I just had a premonition that black people will accept themselves as they are and God will provide for the better! Since I'm already mentioning Kola, I'm just going to let you know that she does not care about the name, "Ethiopian" like it doesn't even compete with "Irish" Irish is so fresh so clean, talk about St. Patrick's day, LOL. Kola believes in ackowledging one's race which is most important. It is not ok to make fun of other races and think that yours is better-- don't bring that primitiveness to this board. I will not take your name (Ethiopian) away from you. Just don't take "Negro" away from me. I accept it with all of my heart. And I accept "African" "Sudan" "Kenyan" ETC; even though a white man came up with them, I'm still here on earth.
Again, I will agree with you that Ethiopians do get a lot of the AAs attention once they're in the United States because they blend in alike.. they're both the same skin color, therefore Ethipians are negros in America as well. If you are not white or hispanic, something that's yellow or lighter than peanut butter, you are a negro which is ok to be -- black.
And to let you know I'm personally not jealous of Ethiopians because I have no reason to be and especially not in the US. In Africa however, Ethiopians are like angels because of their white resemblance. I lived in Kenya as a kid and never really understood why the Ethipian siblings were always the most popular even from the Somalians. In my opinion anyway, I think it has a lot to do with their culture and not skin color. I would rather be friends with an Ethiopian because they very laid back and open minded, always happy but Somalians are just the opposite. They don't want to share with nobody, not even with their own selves and that's a shame.
Still, I would hope to see a better Ethiopia some day... is it really Africa, are Ethiopians after all Africans? Again, yes because they're apart of the black club of the world!!!! Unless of course the country of Ethiopia has blue eyed, green eyed white folks walking around, but no! So why not just be happy with the peanut butter skin color instead of saying, "oh, I'm the closest to white skin!" That's hypocrisy.

And pardon me for using the "group" in my definitions of people. I wish I could use the word "some" but that's just what I saw in the group of people I knew and I was just a kid.
I'm sure not all Somalians are closed minded, stingy... and I apologize for the way I described them in my previous post. Also, not all Ethiopians are open minded, hold a fair culture, etc. The point is, we're all human. What we can do though is change our bad behaviors.
Let us all change the way we treat "each other" so that people that aren't our own race can have respect. And saying you're better than everyone because of your features will not help you gain respect from others Cassidy. |
