Hi, all. I'm back.
For the time being, my films will not be released by this particular Arab company in America----no one in the Arab world, thank God, with any power want the films released. But I have been forced to realize that eventually...these films will slip through. I can scarcely fight every battle or win them all--and especially once a rich White American Producer decides that he wants to bring them to the West, which is bound to happen.
I am very sad about that.
My agent (who is also a high powered lawyer) says that the best I can do...is do exceptionally good work as a writer.
The ironic thing is ....the bigger I become, the more hunger there will be for certain people to see these old movies. Truly--you all would be astonished to see what I looked like at 19 and 20. Not to mention how I acted (picture Jayne Mansfield, only better, dipped in chocolate). It's not good for the LITERARY world---and I can never look like that again.
I'm babbling on and on, surely you can't understand the intensity of this for me--but I'm just not proud AT ALL of these old movies. And not a single one is porno, as so many have written. The films are just low budget silly Arabic flicks, but would continue to demote the already convaluted "image" of Kola Boof. Though so many compare my work to the great writers---I don't know how I'll ever become distinguished or academic. Please tell me---has there ever been another sex kitten Literary Writer of high standing?
For as long as I can, I will fight their release in America.

It looks like you will be the very first SEX KITTEN LITERARY WRITER OF HIGH STANDING!!! Since there probably isn't another one. So congratulations on another first.
BTW, I missed you. And I was worried that something untoward had happened to you. Like perhaps the doctor sucked up too much of your a$$ and you withered away to nothing. LOL!

Thanks Mzuri. I missed you all as well. 
No, I haven't had lipo yet. That's months away, because I want to shape and tone my body with excersize first. I've lost a lot of weight, but I have too much loose skin...if you noticed in the magazine cover.
I also find myself depressed reading the topics here and just find myself speechless. I think a part of me has given up....and now that DIARY is out there and I've said all that a mother of a race could say....I am trying to figure out where my work and voice should be headed. I love Black men...but I feel completely disconnected from them (as a GROUP--not certain individuals, like my father and hubby, but as a GROUP). It's like I don't care anymore. I just don't respect them and love them the same way. I pity them. And between Africa and Black America, I have begun to see them as inferior stupid men...who perhaps should perish. But the record will show that I never relinquished my position as Queen...and more importantly...the responsiblity of that role. I feel that through my work and my sons, and I have left the best mark I could.
So in that way...something untoward has happened.
I have been very down about the issues on this board. I wish there was a BREAK for us, but there won't be. These issues are only going to increase....for black women, things are going to get worse and worse, because too many of them are in DENIAL....and when they decide to consciously react----it's usually too little too late.
Because I'm African, they don't trust my strategies. They don't even recognize the psychological power inherent in the simple act of establishing our "Proof" (the nappy hair) as the standard and goal of our group. This alone would effectively eliminate 80% of our problems. They don't understand how to raise children--there is still an overwhelming SLAVE mentality to most black women. They only know how to serve the society, serve the church--never themselves. They just don't know how to fight (not to mention they're afraid to), and I do, so it's very frustrating.
You have no idea how much ALIKE the Black American woman is to the African woman. They're just fucking weak! They think they're strong because they can suffer and STAY on the bottom.
I have some work to finish on my new novel "Sexy Part of the Bible" and then the negotiation period will begin on that book all over again. So it's work.
One bright spot----I'm being PAID to give a lecture at an all-white University at the end of April, and I find it interesting that they want me to speak there so bad. More details later.

Well, you can't judge the state of Black affairs by what is posted on this board. Typically board posters are a negative bunch who thrive on insulting each other over absolutely nothing. Half of the posts are silly wars of words and a complete waste of time.
I don't think the state of the Black race is as doomed as it seems. I agree that we must get our shit together and unite for the common goal of keeping our race united, vital and strong. We must stop procreating with white ppl. And we must empower ourselves economically. This is the most important thing of all - so that we don't depend upon white ppl for our subsistence and well-being.
And ppl do listen to you Ms. Kola. But sometimes you just come on too strong. Your passion is too much for us regular ppl and we simply don't know what to make of it all. Like the revolution thing. Girl, you know I can't tell my son to kill nobody!
Anyway, I'm sure you'll knock the university ppl out of their seats  |

You never kill with "violence"---you kill with LOVE.
By giving birth to the people that you need.
And if we cannot learn to kill--then we will always be slaves.
There is a "type" of Black person who we MUST KILL...and it's our sons who must do it, otherwise our people will perish from the earth.
We must give birth to the SON...who will do it.
It has nothing to do with "violence" or "murder" when I say KILL.
I mean----we must erase the THINKING of those who think against us.
As for coming off TOO STRONGLY---that's not true.
If we don't anticipate what's coming and don't react NOW with drastic swiftness, then we will be crushed by our complacency. And that I am noticing is the history of the Black people.
This is why slavery lasted 400 years in this country, because of the exact responses you just gave.
We need a new son.
One who thinks like a warrior and not a slave.
One who is man enough to give birth to his own image.....and not his slave master's.
More and more, each day, I see why GOD sent me to this country.
Because whatever happens HERE...is what will determine the future of all black people worldwide.

I was citing an example of some of your statements that come across as highly inflammatory. To me - kill means kill. As in beat a MF to death. So even though your words have a different intent, people perceive what you say literally. Not as some ancient interpretation.
As far as having a slave mentality, I promise you that I do not. I don't even think of myself as Black, let alone a slave, former slave or descendant of a slave. I know that I'm Black and I'm proud of it, but I think of myself as a human being first and foremost. That's all I am, just like everybody else. And my off-spring don't have a slave mentality either. My family is very independent.
Anyway, sometimes you come off too strongly and that's why some ppl disregard the things that you say. That's what I think about it. Take is as constructive criticism, that's all it's intended to be. |

Mzuri, I was never offended by anything you said.
I totally feel the love in your posts to me. I also understand your logic and truth.
My responses are often so that the HUNDREDS of other Browsers who read our exchanges will get what I meant.
I also thought you were referring to the chapter in my memoir where I tell my sons that I want them to KILL with love (you referenced your son). I had explained in detail to my sons, what we mean by "Kill" something.
Only women have the power to bring back the dead. Through our wombs.
Or to kill, the same way.
Again, as for "Coming off too strong"----It has to be that way at this point. A radical scream will usually move people to...at least...the middle. They needn't be "radical"--they just need to be MOVED--even if they're DISTURBED and Dazed and Confused and "turned off". We've had too much pacifying and sugar-coating. It's time for FIRE.
And the fact that we are HUMAN BEINGS is truly irrelevant....because the 60 million who died in the middle passage were just as HUMAN as we are today. The slaves and the JEWS cooked in ovens and little Chinese babies buried by their parents to keep down the population in China----are all HUMAN BEINGS.
Being "human" doesn't in anyway negate our continuiing struggle for those who are considered inferior by those HUMAN BEINGS who have the most power and dominance. Being Human has never, at any time in history, been a buffer. It's yet another Illusion that "MODERN BLACKS" use to distance themselves from the full weight of their reality. They announce that they're human beings---as though that's something "new" or just started in 1968.
Again, I'm just making sure that those who read this thread understand about "Killing" and about being "Human Beings" (the fact that it's irrevelent).
Neither MAN, nor WOLF, nor Aids virus spares us for being "Human Beings"---and if we don't learn that from the past (as White people are so good at KNOWING), then we will be doomed to stay in our places. Where we've been a 1,000 years now.

Going by Kola's pill about Killing, the brothers have been killing black women and children for a minute now. Heck, the whole community. I'm down with what you're saying Kola.
Sisters are the ones with the wombs but notice they don't know how to use it. Sisters need to be doing the killing, we'd be a lot more black and a lot more proud.
