---as I grace my very first magazine cover.
It's going to be a nude picture for the Nigerian literary magazine FARAFINA. They're doing a big profile of me and a review of "Diary", as I've become very popular with the Christian Majority in Nigeria--I'm also named "Kola"--the kola nut being that country's ultimate symbol of purity, prosperity and power.
Chinua Achebe was recently on the cover.
They just recently started a website version of "Farafina" , so you'll get to see it there.

Excuse me...in Africa they wouldn't call it a "nude/topless" photo.
They call it...a traditional photo.
But only in Africa can a nation of Christians appreciate a naked woman on a magazine cover.
I'll be posing with soldiers--as I lead the Kola Revolution.

African christians may be the best influence for black christians on THIS side of the ocean.
I get SO sick of hearing black people preach that body peircings are a sin, marking the body with scarring or tattoos is a sin or that Vodoun is a form of witchcraft.
They might as well say that being from Africa altogether is sinful. |
