Hello Thought all you writers might be interested in knowing that Albedo One (Ireland's magazine of speculative fiction - which includes fantasy, science fiction, horror etc.) has launched the Aeon Award 2008 short fiction contest. There's a grand prize of 1000 euro and publication in the magazine for the winning short story. There's also second and third place prizes of 200 and 100 euro, including publication in the magazine. There's an entry fee of 7 euro. They say they are keen to try and make the Award as international as possible and are interested in getting as many entries from as many different nationalities as possible, so they can get a real flavour of the type of fiction being written in the speculative genres.
