For those who arenot familiar with the term, "jump the shark" it refers to an incident on the show "Happy Days" where Fonzie was waterskiing and a rubber shark was waiting for him and he ski jumped over it--it is said from that moment on the show was doomed. They since have used it to refer to the point in time a tv show has just used up all its ideas and is doomed to cancellation. Obama is going to jump the shark with this Afghanistan decision. He should of course either get all the way out or all the way in but he's too soft for that. What he's gonna do is give McChrystal only a fraction of the troops he has asked for. The Generals are then off the hook if the war effort tanks (which it will--they probably need ten times the 40,000 troops he's asking for tobe effective) Obama will be on the hook for the decision--- And Obama will have pissed off his base because he is prolonging the war. Damn! Everybody was so happy when we had our first black president. I reminded everybody about the fate of the majority of our first blac big city mayors but well, when Negroes get to celebratin they don't wanna hear no messy details. If he don't quit futzing around and start getting ready for 2010 he will deserve to be a one termer.. | ||
