Are Latinos in the U.S. out of their minds, or what? It’s rather bizarre to hear people like actor Edward James Olmos and singer Gloria Estefan try to rationalize the crooked thinking that seems to permeate their culture(s). Constantly trying to validate the illegal entry of millions of their Hispanic countrymen into the U.S. Columnist Ruben Navarrette and many others like him preach the same nonsense. Now all of a sudden, you hear folks running around talking about Latinos in America (coming soon on CNN), their growing influence and empowerment, and bullsh!t like that. Well, if damn near all of them who are here now are descendent’s of illegal aliens and were born to illegals in the U.S., then wouldn’t that make them no more than provisional residents and not legal by any means? They complain, protest and boycott about cuts in public services, schools and the like, but it’s because of their unchecked birth rates and rampant ignorance that the whole system is screwed up, overburdened, and almost out of money and resources. Now mind you, if you were to deport them all, then that would pose another problem, and that is -- who would mow your lawn, clean your house, fix your car, serve you at the restaurant…mug you at the fair, shoot at you in a drive-by, etc.? And that’s just a simple Catch-22. Can you imagine what the complex version of it would be? | ||

Hola, Nels. There you go being brutally honest again. But it is hard not to notice the overhwhelming Hispanic presence. They have saturated Chicagoland, even rivalling Blacks when it comes to gang warfare. And you forgot to mention all of the free medical aid and welfare assistance they lay claim to. The American melting pot now has a lot of Salsa in its flavor. Just what we need when trying to bring order to chaos - for things to get hotter!  Yesterday my daughter and I went to one of the local Mexican restuarants to get Tacos for take-out and every single customer in there was Black. Caramba! | ||

Around here, Hispanics enjoy no status among blacks. They take the low-paying factory jobs Blacks don't want, do the yard work, work at the fast food places, crowd the aisles at WalMart, and stick to themselves. Also, Cynique Hispanics out here are doing better than Blacks. They go to to school and graduate college at a higher rate. They get better jobs and housing. Black people are not exactly hypocritical in their resentment of Latinos. They are very honest and overt in exhibiting their luke warm attitude toward them. And it's not as if Latinos are not racist, themselves. Because they have a very distinct culture, their own language, their own traditions, and a proud ancient history, they are not above looking down on the rag-tag race of hybrid slave descendants. There have been opportunities for Blacks and Browns to come together in a coalition that would present a united front against a common white "enemy", but this strategy has rarely reached fruition because for some reason, these 2 ethnicities have never bonded. The same with Blacks and Asians. I don't think Blacks are guilty of treating other minorities the way they were treated by Whites. In this country, black people have never been in a position to oppress anybody. | ||

Actually I wish Black people were more racist and xenophobic. To be a racist you must believe that your race is superior to everyone else's. And if that is one thing Black ppl DON'T think is that they are superior to anyone else. If Black men were more racist they would stay in there communities and raise there sons to be the same way. The exact same way the White man does. Instead the Black man is the only race of man that can look in his own ppl face and tell them "I owe you nothing".
